I. Intro


Overall i would have to say i am dissapointed in the turnout last week. More no shows than battles. To the people who showed and dropped a verse, you have my respect. For the rest who no showed, i have no comment. Now that we are heading into the 2nd round, there are bound to be less no shows. I actually think only 1, possibly 2 battles will go without verses. But lets wait and see. There will be no interview this week, So i'll interview 2 people next week. If you want to be interviewed then let it be known in this thread.


II. Review


As i said earlier the tournout was terrible, but some managed to drop a verse and they are the one's who get reviews.

... Vs. $lobK:

As most predicted ... came out with the win. ... had a pretty good verse that sealed the win for him. That however takes nothing away from $lobK. He managed to take on one of the best vets RV has. ... pulled off the win with a 3-0 victory.

Common Vs. NewKid:

There was alot of intensity and drama over this battle. One that ended fairly soon. NewKid stunned us all with a pretty good verse, but his major flaw was his structure. Most voters took that into consideration. Commonn however had a decent verse as well, just good enough to win the battle 3-0.

SoLo Vs. Plutonium:

This was a pretty good battle. Seed 11 vs. Seed 54 going at it. SoLo came out swinging, but some of his punches didnt do as well as they usually do but he still dropped a good enough verse to take the win. Plutoniums only vote came from none other than myself. In good fashion SoLo won this battle 4-1.

Given Light Vs. Tephlon:

In my opinion, i thought this was going to be a fairly simple battle for GL, but his punches just didnt seem to connect, and Tephlon was right there with a counter attack. A couple good bars from each competitor left the votes tied early 1-1 but Tephlon would become victorious after 3 more votes. He won 4-1.

MaRVJay1009 Vs. Os1ris:

This was pretty much a one sided battle with Marv coming out on top. Os1ris however did have a pretty good bar and wasnt too shabby against the self proclaimed king of RV. But his verse was just not enough to hold off MaRVJay1009, who won 3-0.

Lay-Text Vs. E.C:

Well this was once again another one sided battle as Lay-Text finished off his opponent quickly. E.C however has elevated a ton in the past month or so. His verse wasnt bad but it just wasnt good enough to beat the man known as R-Rated. Lay-Text won 3-0.

Spektikul Vs. Phat Mic:

Spektikul took this battle pretty easily over phat mic, another good text battler. Spektikul had a pretty witty verse for the most part, while phat mic threw out creative punches. It seems the wittiness overpowered creativity as Spektikul won 3-0.

Sdizzle Vs. ~High-Dro~:

High Dro came out with the upset here, bringing just too many punches for sdizzle..I guess Sdizzle underestimated his opponent, and got the sharp end of the sword as High Dro was victorious as the underdog. He won 3-1. Sdizzle forfeited.

LyricalFlowz Vs. KOOL COL-B:

Once again another upset. Lyricalfllowz has lately been dropping garbage and thats no hate on his skill because i know he is good but lately he hasnt been as witty, KOOL COL-B pulled this one out with a ton of good metaphors and some good punches. One of the best battles in the 1st round. KOOL COL-B won 3-0.

Ambient Vs. Wickedclown:

This was a high intensity match as wickedclown started off early and got votes. How he got votes i dont know all i can say is he wasnt wearing a rubber because his verse was not good. Ambient however had a couple witty punches and some decent wordplay to pull this one off. Ambient won 4-2.

New Meth0d Vs. Hells Fire:

Well this was a one sided match. New Meth0d basically ate up his opponent hells fire who is a good topical head but should work on his text as well. Meth0d had some decent punches while Fire couldnt really form a dope bar. But its the effort that counts. At least he showed for the battle. New Meth0d won 3-0.

Well last week wasnt too shabby except for the no shows. Everything went pretty smooth except for the constant complaining about the voting council. But they are doing their job and if you think you got dicked out of a vote all you gotta do is come so dope that there is no way they could vote against you. Good luck to all in Round 2.
