Intro

Ok, an alright week we had. Not as many no-shows as last week, but there were still a few. Hopefully that stops this week, although I am expecting 1 or 2. Speaking of which, let's see how last week went down.

Round 2 Review

1. JTR vs. 49. Dex
JTR got the easy no-show win, and probably would've won anyways.

2. N.Tavarez vs. 33. The Revelation
N.Tavarez took this rather easily. Rev tried, but like I said in last week's mag, I never thought of him as a text head...let alone one on Tav's level.

3. It's SPuL! vs. 31. Kool Col-B
Eh, decent battle. Neither had any real quoteable punches, but RV kids tend to run out of steam in re-matches. Overall I thought Kool won, but the voters thought differently. It ended up being rather close though, and SPuL advanced to round 3.

4. Mimesis vs. 30. Typical
Typical no-showed for a reason I was unaware of, and Mim advanced to round 3.

5. ambience vs. 29 Compose
Compose won by no-show. But ambience was supposedly an imposter of the RB won, so I don't really care that he lost. Go Compose!

6. L.I. vs. 28. Invektive
L.I. came alright, still a little rusty. Anyways, he still dropped enough to beat Ike. Ike knew he was beat, so he posted an excuse about how he signed up for a text tourney but forgot that he only likes to do audio. So he pussied out, giving L.I. the no-show win.

7. Appocolyptik vs. 27. Robkilla
I don't really know what when on here. Both dropped no-show verses. (Says something for this site, eh?) In the end, Rob won by majority decision, although the battle was incredibly wack.

8. D.Zaster vs. 26. E.C
D.Zaster was found biting and was banned, DQing him from the tourney. He said he was going to plead his case to strobe, in which case I would've re-opened the battle. E.C was even cool with that, but either Zast didn't talk to strobe or just didn't care. E.C won by his opponent being DQ'd.

9. DaTrusHurtz vs. 25. Trey Methodz
Fuck a review of this, just someone tell me if this is biting.


I mean, somebody who actually knows something.

10. Sobe. vs. 24. Spektikul
Neither came that great, but it made for a close vote count. In the end, Sobe. won.

11. Vaskez vs. 23. ~High-Dro~
High-Dro forfeited, and Vaskez posted a no-show verse. I had a snaking suspicion that High-Dro was gonna pull a little bitch move, so I told Vask that he could re-post an actual verse when Dro posted his. Needless to say, I was correct, and High-Dro lost. And oh yeah, High-Dro lost.

12. Fuxjustaword vs. 22. Daubs
This battle wasn't as great as I thought it would be. Daubs has elevated quite a bit, but ended up dropping quite a weak verse. Fux took it easily, and advances to the Sweet 16.

13. Nick Fletcher vs. 21. Flow Intelligent
Nick lost, but advanced due to a glitch in the matrix. End of discussion.

14. Ambient vs. 20. New Meth0d
Ambient won by no-show.

15. Apo Kold vs. 19. Natural killa
NK didn't even bother checking in. Apo won by no-show.

17. Apostrophe vs. 18. Drakel
Apostrophe took this 5-0 and advanced to round 3. (Yeah, I got lazy at the end of the reviews.)

Round 3 Predictions:
1. JTR vs. 29. Compose
Everybody says JTR's gonna win easily. I'd like to see Compose whip his ass just to see a good upset, but Com usally pussies out when he faces someone that RV kids love more than a friend. So JTR will advance unless Com shows, which is gay because Com always whines to me on AIM about how he wants to be better, but never wants to try.

2. N.Tavarez vs. 27. RobKilla
This will be closer than people think. Rob's underrated, and this is the round where he needs to prove it.

3. It's SPuL vs. 26. E.C
This could go a few ways. SPuL says he doesn't like to text anymore, and only wants to make his club songs. E.C, on the other hand, has been elevating. But then again, SPuL should've lost last week and didn't. So if his little "i like sausages" buddies come plague the battle thread, SPuL will win. Otherwise, I see this as being pretty close.

4. Mimesis vs. 25. Trey Methodz
Um, if Trey didn't bite again last round, then Mim will have to battle...in which case Mim will win, even if Trey doesn't bite again.

6. L.I. vs. 17. Apostrophe
If L.I. shows he should take this, but Apostrophe will probably have a decent verse nonetheless.

10. Sobe. vs. 15. Apo Kold
I don't know if Apo Kold has shaken off his rust yet or not, but if he has then this should make out to be a pretty good match. I got a feeling Apo Kold will win in the end though.

11. Vaskez vs. 14. Ambient
I haven't read Ambi in a while, and I think Vask will really start trying this round. So this'll be a good match, and if I can decide upon who I think will win then I'll edit that in here.

12. FuxJustAWord vs. 13. King Solo
I've been waiting for this match-up. For a long ass time, people have been IMing me about me top 5 on RV. I've always responded (in no order): 9th Degree, Mimesis, hotshh!, JTR, and Fuxjustaword. And every time I post that, nobody notices that I have included myself, only that I didn't include their precious King Solo. Fux made it to this round last tourney (but there's no proof because R-Rated deleted the thread like a little bitch), but this time around I think he can do better. So my prediction is that Solo will lose, but I sense that this battle will have a lot of e-crying and TE d/r.

We're now in the Sweet Sixteen, and the competition is heating up. But only a few more weeks before we crown a new King of RV. Now that that's out of the way, I'm gonna go smoke an afternoon hookah. Good day, children.
