Ugh, awful week. Voting was whack; no showing was rife and only 2 battles actually went ahead. The voting is what I wanna focus on though. There were 3 battles open for votes, and in those 3 battles, none of the 6 competitors voted. They had 1 battle to vote on, that’s fucking awful. And only 2 people this week voted on the 3 open battles, I’ll get to that later though.

Yeah the league is slow at the moment, yet it’s due to the time period we’re in. People are starting at college, going back to school, work etc and they don’t have much time at the moment as they’re fully focusing on whatever. Give it a little while and things will be back to normal. Lot of sign in’s this week also, so things are looking up already.

Only 12 replies in the cypher this week. But two people ripped it. Only one is getting the win though and that person is Untold. He dropped 40 lines, yes 40 lines. And it paid off as well cos he had a lot of fresh bars and that allowed him to get the win. Check his freshest bars:

Eh battle. Brock dropped first and his verse was full of played ish. Most of his lines I had the “I swear they’ve been done before” feeling about. His quite while ahead and align bars were real tight though. Sonny had mostly fresh lines, but most of them were whack as well. His Lupe Fiasco-deck bar was tight as fuck though. Brock took this pretty easily and won 4-0.

Predictions

LBL Championship Match: 1. Brock Sampson (9-0) vs 2. DaTrusHurtz (8-0)

Should be a tight battle. DaTrus has a real chance to take this though, especially as Brock seems to have been dropping some quite played stuff for the past couple of weeks, especially last week. Brock’s stuff is cool and he words it nice, it just makes me think ugh I swear I’ve seen this so many times before. Still though, the voters like Brock and he does drop dope and fresh when he tries, so I’m gonna go with him winning this.

LBL Contendership Match: 3. Erel Avent (10-3) vs 4. Malicious (6-2)

Erel should win this if he tries. Malicious is quite inconsistent during his verses, as he can drop some dope bars but he also drops a lot of whack stuff. Erel is tight and will win this.

5. T.r.oo.P (3-2) vs 6. N.Tavarez (2-0)

Should be a massacre. Troop seems to have stayed at the same level for a while now where as Tavarez has got respect and he can drop pretty half assed and still win this. Tavarez to win easy.

7. Aeral (4-0) vs 8. Untold (7-4)

This should be a decent battle. I’ve just found out they’re battling at another site as well, so both of ya can feel free to drop the same verse at both sites if you can’t be bothered to battle each other twice as such. I think Untold will take this though, as he is more experienced and is basically better than Aeral.

9. Sonny Dimebags (9-4) vs 10. JTR (15-7)

Another cool battle here. JTR dropped pretty cool last week, and if his verse hadn’t of been 3 fucking days late he could be in the champ match. Sonny dropped eh, he had a couple of nice bars which included one really dope one, but apart from that he had nothing of note. Therefore JTR should win this.

11. SPuL (6-1) vs 12. Faime S. Quotez (1-0)

Spul is back in the league after a week break and he’ll take this easy. Faime is aight, but he just ain’t great. Give it a few weeks and he might be pretty good, but Spul will murder him here.

13. Trey Methodz (1-0) vs 14. Wordz Ahgod (5-2)

Should be pretty close. Trey dropped aight last week but he had the added use of a pic. It wouldn’t surprise me if he no-showed though as he tends to do that a lot. I think Wordz will win either way though. So Wordz Ahgod to win.

15. Flash (5-2) vs 16. Stanza (3-4)

Eh, close again. Flash is probably better I think, where as Stanza is still slowly elevating. If both show though then Flash should win.

Both were stupid to not vote on 2 other battles, otherwise they would of won their battles. That was dumb of them but they’re here now and Artistik should win this. He’s just generally tighter than Euth.

He’s a nice battler and it seems like if he sticks around for a few weeks he’ll elevate a lot also, so watch out for him especially in a few weeks. Kon ain’t great at all and always drops half assed shit that even he laughs about. So Te Ora will win this.

Don’t Sleep On

So Rell – You’ll already know him. He’s been around the league for a long time before and reached the champ match a couple of times. I dunno if he’s been battling much between the time he signed out and now though, so he could be rusty. But he’s a tight battler.

Te Ora – He’s a guy I recruited as I previously said. He was the only dude in the Anotha vs DaShadyBoard site battle to get a win for his time, so that shows that he’s hanging around in a board of whackness. Hopefully he hangs around here more often and in a few weeks he should be mad tight. He’s good now but if he elevates he’ll be a threat.

Must Be Sleeping

Sonny Dimebags – Didn’t drop great last week, needs to really drop tight this week to beat JTR. Step it up man, you can be so good when you want.

10. Artistik – Fucked up by not voting but he’s generally a nice battler when he tries.
