DaTrusHurtz beat Brock Sampson 7-0 in a tight championship battle to become the 7th ever LBL champion. Props to both for a nice battle, and well done to DaTrusHurtz for winning the title.

The LBL Cypher

Ahhh, holy fucking dope cypher. This was prob the best cypher the LBL has had, or it at least ranks up there. Everyone was fucking ripping it. It was quite close until one dude came in and ripped everyone, literally, he ripped everyone who had posted before him. And that dude was Artistik. LBL Championship Match: 1. Brock Sampson (9-0) vs 2. DaTrusHurtz (8-0)

This battle was tiiight. Brock dropped first and he came dope. He had a haymaker bar that was fresh as hell, a kilohertz nameplay that was dope and a piece of my mind bar that was mad nice. DaTrus dropped and based off the start of his verse, I thought Brock woulda got this easy. But damn DaTrus picked it up in the second half of his verse. He had a wingman bar that was hilariously dope, fresh as hell, a live stock bar that was tight, a lacktose bar that was nice and a Jack concepts bar that was cool. This battle was closer than the voting suggested, as DaTrusHurtz absolutely sweeped it, winning 7-0. Congratulations to DaTrus on becoming the 7th ever LBL champion, good job.

LBL Contendership Match: 3. Erel Avent (10-3) vs 4. Malicious (6-2)

Malicious got caught biting. Erel Avent won.

5. T.r.oo.P (3-2) vs 6. N.Tavarez (2-0)

Tavarez got this pretty easy and his verse weren’t even that great. He had an old times bar that I was really feeling, but apart from that I wasn’t feeling much else in his verse. Troop had nothing of note really. N.Tavarez won 8-0.

7. Aeral (4-0) vs 8. Untold (7-4)

Decent battle. Aeral dropped first and he dropped aight. He had a roots bar that was tight. Apart from that though the rest of his verse was either ok or nahh territory. Untold dropped better, he had a discount bar that was tight and worded perfectly. The rest of his verse was similar to Aeral’s, but that bar made the difference. Untold won 5-3.

9. Sonny Dimebags (9-4) vs 10. JTR (15-7)

This was a nice battle, quite a lot of quotables. JTR dropped and his verse was cool. The broadcast bar was dope, as were the pacifist and erased bars. Sonny dropped nice as well, he had the missing periods bar that was dope as hell, and the chip and hustler bars were both nice as well. Sonny posted late though and that resulted in this only getting 1 vote which sucks, and that vote went to JTR. JTR won 1-0.

11. SPuL (6-1) vs 12. Faime S. Quotez (1-0)

SPuL no-showed. Faime won.

13. Trey Methodz (1-0) vs 14. Wordz Ahgod (5-2)

Ok battle, but it was just very average. Both these battlers have mad potential though, ‘n I was quite surprised at Trey cos he’s got a tight style, he just needs to have better concepts. Trey dropped first and as I said he dropped average, just quite bland. Wordz dropped much of the same but he had a porno concept that was pretty tight. Wordz won 6-0.

15. Flash (5-2) vs 16. Stanza (3-4)

lmao at Flash. He posted a no-show verse on Monday. What the fuck!? He had a couple of ok bars though, the Stanza-4 losses bar was aight and the bitten bar was as well. Stanza didn’t drop great, his best bar was a cumline so nuff said. Flash won 6-0.

17. Artistik (4-2) vs 18. Euthanize (5-7)

Strange battle. Both posted late with no-show verses, then they edited 6 lines in but no one voted. Euthanize didn’t vote anyway so he lost. Artistik won.

19. Tony Brown (0-1) vs 20. So Rell (0-0)

Wow, consider me shocked. Tony actually won this pretty easy. Rell dropped first and his verse weren’t great, he seems like he needs a couple of weeks to get back into things. He had a Sway bar that was tight, but apart from that his verse was pretty bland. Tony dropped decent, his I can’t quite put my finger on it bar was raaaaw as fuck. And the point of view bar was tight as well. Tony won this 3-1, props to him for stepping it up.

21. Te Ora (0-0) vs 22. K.ontroverz.Y (0-0)

One-sided really. Te Ora dropped pretty nice, he had a KY bar that was tight and a pro’s and kon’s bar that was fresh also. Only thing I would say, is don’t use CAPITALS and !!!’s so much, it brings your verse down dude. Kon didn’t drop anything of note really, a nothing verse. Te Ora won this 4-0.

23. Diplomats (0-0) vs 24. Spicous (0-0)

Diplomats no-showed. Spicous won.

25. Bruce Bogtrotter (0-0) vs 26. Real Thoro (0-0) vs 27. Mr. Multie (0-0)

Firstly, Mr Multie, ditch that font, it’s fucking awful. Straight off, Real Thoro no-showed so it made this Bruce vs Mr Multie. Bruce didn’t drop great at all, a lot of punches that were just like “so what?” and didn’t hit hard. Mr Multie didn’t have much either, cept he had an office sex bar that was dope as hell. That pretty much won it for him I think. Mr Multie won 5-1.

Erel Avent: Oh, it WAS the supersite. All the dopest heads went there. The league was fuckin GODLY. I think at one point in time that site had the top 25 battles online hands down in the league. Majority of them from the "RnR Family" in which I use to be a part of til they switched to nut hugging. Then they all got like attacked by Atmosphere music or some shit & turned buttercup. So now its like a coffee shopp over there.

Erel Avent: i have no idea. no one really challenged me there besides Author War. me & him had the biggest rivalry. He was the only one who could come close to beating me & majority of the time like i still do. I wrote verses the night the shits was due. So id say it would have to be a battle with AW.

KempoMRK: Tell me about FD, UA, RapCityz and RN. as I've only heard of RapCityz, I have no clue about the others.

Erel Avent: What? lol. Rapcityz is how I made my way to 411Hype I ran that site back when Lyrics, DeathToll, Rhymez, etc was on it. I came across Rapcityz when I left RB for awhile. FD is FlowDoctors. I dont know how you havent heard of that. It just died like a year & a half ago I think but its been on its way down. It still might be up but its not the rea lone. FlowDoctors was a huge fucking site. One of the first sites that had audios poppin for real. Very ncie battle league & they also had the first Alliance / real crew I ever seen online which I happen to be a part of which was called... Blak Listed. Nothin but godly battles / audio heads / poets / OM's. UA....that site died. It was Urban Authentics which is where Metasin, Knucklehead, and a few others came from. They hosted the yearly WDA invite which was a invite tournament that consisted of the top battles from all sites. It stood for World Domination ...some shit or another. RN is, was, and forever will be gay. I ran into the site from a kid I use to convo with on RB. His name was gifted. But Rap Network sucks, it was a site full of dickhugers.

Erel Avent: Blah. I didnt stick to Urban Prowlers like that to much. I only go to sites that are heavy in the battle circuit. Even thou its not really known except for on RnR & 411Hype but my open mics are dope but Im more of a battler. So I was only on UP for the March Madness & a couple weeks in the PBA. I didnt like the PBA schedule thou so I bounced.

I won.... beat like 10 other kids off that site never loss and ended up migrating to RB when it merged with TRG

Erel Avent: myself literally. Under my Aeon name I was 27-3 (three no shows) and I ended up battling myself in a HW Title Match under my other name which was 10-0.

Erel Avent: It was at Hype. Well the thing is I tryed on both names, just used different styles & my Aeon name was more well known so I think thats why I won on that name.

KempoMRK: ah I see. Do you believe that names win battles a lot of the time?

Erel Avent: depends on the site really & the moderators. Moderators dont understand how much power they have in killing Dickriders. Having your alias "exposed" helps some what. Just like the only thing thats gonna save DaTrusHurtz this week is that punk ass undefeated record. Damn sure wont be his verse.

Erel Avent: Yea to a certain extent like say. EmceeSugarHillGang .vs. Butler ... in this perticular battle Butler had ONE dope line & a couple alright ones .. the rest was ashy as black folks ankles... and EmceeSugarHillGang came in with flames. Fools started claiming "it was a close battle" but had Butler edgin it out due to the ONE DOPE line being the line of the battle....when its clear he lost. After the battle ends in the magazine you point that shit out. Even if YOU dont battle in the league, you have more power & sway than the champ of the league cause you RUN shit.

Erel Avent: as far as the biting accusations. it happened on Hype when I had another name in the HW title match against myself (ive done it three times) but didnt feel like writing & this other name was gaining alot of "fame" and i didnt wanna uphold it so I bite Lord Omni Sicc THEN linked LOS to the battle on AIM...he then pointed it out & had the name banned. Vex did a IP search and it came back as MINE..so I was accused of biting...but the thing is I bite against myself, then told on myself.

Erel Avent: Thanks, yea it will be my first. As far as keeping me battling... I dont look at myself as a battler no more, I look at myself as a mentor of battling. I spend the couple free hours Im bored at home online battling. Majority of my time is spent in the studio doing my album & what not. I figure if I can further someone elses understanding .. appreciation of hiphop online then Ima do it. Plus I stick around because its a hobby. Ive been doin it for 6 goin on 7 years now... so I stick around. Im sure once this child comes its gonna shut the net down on me for good. Which wouldnt be a problem ya know. Erel Avent: Oh the albums comin out Spring 2007. Was spose to drop this upcoming winter but I pushed it back for serveral good reasons. Im actually speakin with WhooKid right now about some shit. My brother is talkin to Wallz who fucks with Dre on a regular basis... I got alot of dope ass beats that any artist would be pissed off if they got used up wack like so Im takin my time. The albums called "Walk Backwardz"... its more of a ..if this is the only album I get to push .. this is me type album then a club banger...bang bang bang type of joint. My style is closer to Joe Buddens then anything, so of course Im not on no asope rock shit ... or atmosphere talkin bout dead birds flyin thru a broken sky & shit. Majority of my production is in-house... but its hot. I got a couple tracks from some big names but I aint braggin bout it online. Predictions

September Event: The Re-Rise Battles

LBL Championship Match: 1. DaTrusHurtz (9-0) vs 2. Erel Avent (11-3)

Tiiiight battle. If Erel posts his hardest and DaTrus posts his hardest, this could definitely be a classic. DaTrus has more momentum than Erel at the moment, as Erel has got here via not letting his opponent post and by his opponent biting. Where as DaTrus has just ran through a lot of opponents to win the title. Based on that alone I think DaTrusHurtz will take this.

LBL Contendership Match: 3. N.Tavarez (3-0) vs 4. Untold (8-4)

This could be another classic if both post their hardest. Tavarez has strolled here pretty much where as Untold has had quite a few hard battles to get here. This is gonna be close, and it’s hard to predict but I’m gonna guess N.Tavarez to win. As far as I know he’s only in this league, where as Untold is in 3, and Tavarez has stated that he badly wants to win the title. So Tavarez to win.

Celebrity Picture Battle - Roger Glocks (Jim Carrey) vs Trey Methodz (Adam Sandler)

This’ll be a nice battle actually. I was a bit hesitant about giving Trey a special event battle, as he hasn’t really proved himself, but after dropping nice in the cypher he’s worthy. I think he’ll drop pretty good actually. But still, Roger Glocks is dope as fuck. Check his battle with Butler for evidence of that, and he’ll win this I’m almost certain.

Concept Flipping Battle - John Hensley vs Phryme

Hensley asked for a concept flipping battle and I hit up Phryme on AIM and set it up. Phryme is nice, I remember having a conversation with David Lama in like January, and I asked him who he thought would be the next generation of dope battlers. Phryme was the first name he said. And yeah he’s a nice battler, but Hensley is a master at wording and I can honestly say, that I don’t think anyone can beat Hensley in a concept flipping battle. So John Hensley to win this.

Girlfriend Picture Battle - Artistik vs Euthanize

This should be pretty good, but I think it’ll be onsided. Euthanize tends to make his pic disses way too simple, where as Artistik as a lot of creativity. Artistik should win this pretty easily.

Multi Battle - Mr Multie vs N.Tavarez

I gather this is a battle where you’ve just gotta make nice multi’s. If so, FIRST OF IT’S KIND IN THE LBL! Tavarez has always talked about how he was nice with multi’s, I think he won a multi league at one point. Tavarez to win.

NFL Battle - L.I. (Philadelphia Eagles) vs SPuL (Jacksonville Jaguars)

First of it’s kind! This should be pretty tight, both have got to theme punches based around their opponents team. Both are nice, creative battlers so it should be a good battle. But I think SPuL will take it, L.I. could surprise me though.

Normal Battles

5. JTR (16-7) vs 6. Faime S. Quotez (2-0)

Massacre. Murder. Mauling. Killing. Flawlessing. All words that come to mind in this battle. Faime is ok, but JTR is just so much better. JTR will win this easily.

7. Wordz Ahgod (6-2) vs 8. Flash (6-2)

Flash hasn’t been dropping great lately, he’s improving but he still ain’t been dropping amazing stuff. Wordz is slowly improving as well, but at a better rate than Flash. Therefore Wordz should get this, and I’m pretty sure he will.

9. Brock Sampson (9-1) vs 10. T.r.oo.P (3-3)

If Brock shows he will win this easily. Troop isn’t great, where as Brock, well, is. Brock should win this by a lot of votes.

11. Roger Glocks (6-3) vs 12. Artistik (5-2)

This is gonna be a nice battle if both try. Glocks is the person who to me, should be winning this. But if Glocks sleeps on Artistik he’ll be fucked, as Artistik is nice. Now that I’ve said that I don’t think Glocks will sleep, so Roger Glocks to win.

13. Tony Brown (1-1) vs 14. Te Ora (1-0)

Tony Brown sorted himself out last week and actually tried, and his verse had some real good points in it but it was a bit inconsistent. This should be a close battle. If Te Ora sorts out his style problems then he could definitely win it. I think Tony is finally starting to step it up though, so I’m gonna go with Tony Brown to win. If Tony sleeps on Te Ora though, he will lose.

15. Spicous (1-0) vs 16. Mr. Multie (1-0)

I know nothing about Spicous. Mr Multie to win.

17. Aeral (4-1) vs 18. Sonny Dimebags (9-5)

Another good battle. Aeral is up and coming all over, where as Sonny just came out of no where and joined this league. I’m still curious if Sonny is an alias or not. Anyway, this battle should be good but I think Sonny will either no-show or not try hard, probably the latter. That’ll allow Aeral to sneak in and get the win.

19. Trey MethodZ (1-1) vs 20. Stanza (3-5)

Trey came close to winning last week, where as Stanza got smashed by a weak ass verse. Trey will win this easily.

21. Euthanize (5-8) vs 22. K.ontroverz.Y (0-1)
I don’t think Kon has won in fucking ages. I’m gonna be doing the LBL records thread soon, and I think he’s a contender for longest winning streak. Euthanize should win this easily.

Damn, two murders in one week, this league’s becoming violent. Hensley is back after a break, and he will absolutely kill Bruce. Just make sure you vote Hensley.

10. Sonny Dimebags – Dropped a tight verse last week, in a battle that was pretty close. Seems like he finally shook off whatever was holding him back for that verse, he’s just gotta stay motivated now as that loss might have made him unmotivated.

9. Artistik – Absolutely fucking smashed the cypher last week and won it with ease. If he can get properly motivated and start gaining some momentum, he’ll be beating a lot of people.

8. Brock Sampson – Suffered a harsh loss to DaTrusHurtz last week, but he still dropped a tight verse. Could become a two-time champion if he stays in the league and keeps dropping how he was.

7. John Hensley – He’s only this low cos he’s starting low in the ranks with a 0-0 record. If he shows and most importantly, votes, then he will be power ranked number one soon. You all know about him anyway so I won’t say anything else.

6. Roger Glocks – Straight in to the league with a pretty tough battle against Artistik. If he drops how he can though, he’ll win the battle fairly easily. Dope battler, check his battle against Butler if you’re thinking of sleeping, and he’s a definite title contender.

5. JTR – Dropped fresh against Sonny last week and he’s been dropping dope for the past few weeks. He could be the new champ if he hadn’t of fucked up and posted so late against DaTrus a couple of weeks ago. Has an easy route to the champ match, he’ll be there in 2 weeks if he doesn’t fuck up by not voting or showing.

4. Untold – Is quite inconsistent but he’s definitely dope. Can drop some real nice stuff in his verses and if he gets past Tavarez he could be a title contender.

3. N.Tavarez – Is motivated and wants to get the title that he won once before back. He’s a nice battler and is able to do it, he just needs to get past Untold first.

2. Erel Avent – Sauntered into the title match without even having to post a proper verse. That could work against him, or for him actually. As he could either be rusty or just saving up lines to unleash on DaTrusHurtz. Could be the new champ next week.

1. DaTrusHurtz – Crushed Brock Sampson last week to win the title, but he has a tough test against Erel Avent straight away. If he wins that it’ll determine that he is definitely championship material. Been dropping dope for the past few weeks.
