Intro.

Well despite the usual no shows from the sketchy sign ins that sign up for no apparent reason but to waste, my time, an the rest of the battlers in the leagues time it was actually a good week. The champ match was probably a weak one to start off the VTL's first HW match. But due to the fact Kirks goin on a week long writers block..which goes for OM's aswell,. An Lay's 70 line verse he posted the night before for the OMB tourney really thinned these two out for this match. There was some good battles..we have got a few more veteran heads joinin up for the league lookin to shake off the rust. So we got some goo times in store these next few weeks, once they start gettin back into their groove. As well as the other heads that are lookin to make a name for themselves or just eager to try an grab the title. Now's the time to make the move.

Battle Reviews

HW Match - Kirk vs Lay
Despite this being widely anticipated an built up, this was a weaker battle thane expected from the two. Kirk's had trouble writing all week, an Lay' got face raped on concepts the night before scraping em all up for a 70 line verse for the OMB tourney. This was a bland battle, but the two votes that came in - YES, two whole votes. Shitty amount of votes for the champ match, it should have a majority of the votes out of all the battles. Kirk pulled away with 2 votes to none an claimed the first VTL HW Title. Close battle, but next week people for the HW Match make that a voting priority please. I'd like to see more votes.

Contendors Match - Ram vs Flight
THIS battle got alot of voting activity. They both dropped okay,..Flight a little inconsistent even for his standards. But he did come in with his usual funny punches that are to be expected when facing him. Ram had a few nice swings in too, but they were too far an inbetween to pull off a win in this matchup.

Mauvais Loup vs Adam
This battle was kinda weak, but it was a close one. Mauv came weaker than expected an Adam still lookin to shake off some rust came meh at best. He had some funny lines an showed glimpses of what has potential of doin in a match. He threw in some good punches an in the end it was consistent enough to pull out the win in almost a complete vote sweep.

JTR vs LFS
LFS IS getting a little better, I would appreciate if when you guys voted you maybe left some constructive criticism so he knows what to work on so he can progress. He has dropped pretty alright since he joined the league, an he shows potential. He had a few gleaming punches that stood out, but JTR came in with a more dominant verse. LFS still kickin that nursery school rhyming while JTR is coming in with an all around better verse, more polished, an harsher. He edged this one out an dropped above par to his verse last week. Wonder how he'll fair in the Contendors match this week :O

Satan vs L.I.
L bein one of the new sign ups, he checked an then didn't post an gave Satan a no show win. Satan dropped an avg verse I guess realizing L wasn't goin to drop. But without doubt picked him up a win an some points.

Format vs Intangible
Format no showed an Intangible won. - Tang, one thing you need to work on is your actual punches. This is text, it doesn't matter how many multi's you throw into a punch if its not harsh or creative then its viewed as garbage an will get you nowhere. Look up some old battles or look how Kirk or J , adam , Nick , me , Flight. Peep any of those guys verses an you'll see what your verse should be goin for. Setup - an then the second line flip a concept into a punch. You didn't really have any punches last week, so I just want you to try an improve so you don't get walked on this week by LFS. Should be a decent matchup if Intang tweeks his style a bit to a text style an not postin audio verses.

BigChase vs dutch
Bigchase got a DQ win. Dutch got caught biting in a topical earlier in the week so Kirk dq'd him an booted him from the league an bascially gave Chase a free win.

Gkillaz05 vs Ryan Hughes
This one was a decent battle. Both no showed. But Nick came in an dropped better than they both could combined. Haha, showed some funny punches so he was awarded a win for effort an helpin out to cover a noshow. Good shit Nick, now ya got a battle this week. So lets see if you can earn some points against somebody who shows haha. GL.

Top 5 Power Ranks

1. Kirk - a.k.a Mr. Consistent he finally climbed to the top. This guy grabbed the title this week, an I don't see anyone with a chance of taken it away easily

2. Flight - He's got a win streak goin an he's back at the top, an ready to grab the title. When he puts time an effort into his verses he's deadly.

3. Lay Fear - Aside from dropping over a hundred lines this week among 3 leagues an a tourney, this guy is top 3 for a reason. An still managed to be faily consistent even though thats not his strong suit. Watch out if your matched up against him.

4. JTR - Shakin off that rust a week at time he's already contending for a shot at the title. He's carries a humor in each of his verses along with an over confident swagger. Overrated? I think not.

5. King Solo - I've seen one key style from this guy an I already know he's a top 5 guy. Aside from his history, if you don't know him...you will shortly. Pz.

Well, the title is up for grabs. It is looking to be a good matchup, this is their second meeting an the last battle they had Kirk won with a bit more consistency. So the title match this week should be interesting. As well as the new additions to the league, I'm eager to see some new talent in the league that will actually join and THEN show up. Just try to vote a bit more guys, I have noticed a few of you voting more which is a start. But realize if you dont' vote its not fair that your battle gets votes. An I left out the prediction part of the mag..an added a Prediction thread for you guys to try an guess. Whoever gets it right gets one points added to their rank. Predictions are off based, cuz really anyone can beat anyone given concepts, irl events etc. So its a waste of time writing it really, an the thread was Dickard's idea, so thanks to him.
