First off, I don't like you all saying "cartoons". Cartoons are animated. They can be shorts, and they don't always have to be funny. But cartoons are animated.
Comics and comic strips and more pertinet, webcomics, are what I want to be dealing with. Now, I'm not going to bore you all with my studies of comic books from the golden age to the silver to the bronze and my studys of art and how I've been drawing since I've been five and blah blah blah and stupid scheiße like that.
Here is what I want to do. Since so many of you (a couple) are making these comic strips, and have absolutely zero drawing talent, I'll offer my services.
I can draw pretty well despite my anime-influenced-handicap. And I can color shit too, despite my color blindness handicap. (Which is to say, I have the technology, but I'm still color blind.) And... well... I can fucking draw and I've done comics books and strips before.
So, if anyone has an idea, specificly a script, then email me (atraludio@mindless.com) and I'll see about making it into an actual strip. I even have my own
website where I can host the strips until I can find a
better address to host them on.
It's that simple. You write the words to the comic, and I'll draw the comic. Only requirement is you be fucking funny and that I have the right to change whatever is submitted anyway I see fit. Any of them that I use, the original author of the script WILL get credit.
And I'll even write some of my own to prove I'm not a lazy bastard to those that think drawing is the easy part. Also, if anyone wants to be in it and have a say in how I draw them, better include a script as well as a description of how I draw you. I will most likely be drawing animals, since they are easier. But cartoonish humans can be done as well.
