Topical Battles

You know what I've noticed about topical battles? Most people on this site prefer a topic where they can be "deep"... Then they use a bunch of big words. Truthfully, reading topical battles on this site is like punishment... They fucking suck... There are about 5 people on this site that are actually skilled at topicals and i dont mind reading. And most of the "topical vets" are the worst... I mean, maybe their shit is deep and has good vocab and what not. But who the fuck wants to read that shit???

I made a good topical once, but LRI is long gone so the proof is no more.

The art is finding a good balance concerning your vocab, expressing everything in a vivid way with raw emotion...Well, that's what I like in a topical...But some are indeed quite boring, depends on topic and approach though...

You read the battle between Copywrite and final didn't you? Honestly I think I'm aight at them. I try to put in a story line or something different so it is different and interesting to read. Anx, who are the people you don't mind reading?

theres multiple ways to write topicals.

1. Single form:

basically writing a song, no hook...a chorus, and
those usually feature another.

2. Emotional form:

the type you see with intellectual vocab, these topics
are the deep ones, the psychological, the complex, their
more feelings than a tale.

3. Storyboard form:

the most common used topical, this is the topic you
write a story line, try and relate it with personal events,
attempt to use your knowledge to explain something that
hasnt really happened to you.

those are the three forms ive seen here.
theres others...

Conversation form:
...like an interview sort of verse.

others i guess.
* but vocab i think is just like a theosaurus. in the sense,
your just trying to use other words than the average expression.

example:

freed = liberated

calm = whelmed

truthful = candid

looks = appearance

* but then theres always those who
have a large word every other word.
(too extreem)

who else has ideas? peace.

I WANNA SEE LINKS. BRING EM.
