Do you think good freestyling is necessary to be considered a good emcee?

Honestly I used to be fuckin garbage at free'ing but I just spit and it was pretty coo...

But my dad is always talking about how he doesn't respect any rappers who can't free which always made me a little hesitant to tell him I spit. But anyways, answer the question. :thumbup:

YES! If you cant free youre not a REAL emcee. Simple as that.

Good freestyle ability isn't necessary to be a good MC I don't think. 'Cuz mainly if you can freestyle then that's just what your known for, like Supernatural. But if that's not your main claim to fame then the less people will want you to kick frees, thus it becomes less important in order to be a good MC.

What 9th said, niggaz that Free like insanely good get known as freestyle artist, not rappers and such. But you can be a dope M.C. witout bein' neccesarily good and free'n.
