Muzzles For Dogs Good Or Bad?
 

Ok I Got A Dog And Alot Of People Live In My House So I Had To Get Him A Muzzle Cuz He Be Trying To Bit People I OnlY Take The Muzzle Off When I Feed Him Or Walk Him.someone Told Me This Makes The Dog Meaner:(hes Already Overprotective Do You Think Hell Be Worse Now?

yes!..they make them more prone to go wild when they get that muzzle off...i got 2 rotwilers an they dont wear them for that factor...

just imagin someone puttin one of those things on ur face would it piss you off???.......my guess is yes......

well hes a pit is he bites someone i cant get him off i had to break his jaw a few months back cuz he killed another pit and wouldnt let him go i cant risk having him bite a person:(

i have two staffy cross, ones viscious but the other isnt.. i thin if the owner cant be responsible enough to control ther dog and keep it chained up at appropriate times, then a mussle order will have to be put in place.
otherwise they are not healthy for the dog.

I don't think they should be necessary, unless they're around small children. Little kids tend to attract attention, and if the dog is territorial then it may attempt to get rid of the kid that's hogging the attention.

Well still, a grown ass person can take a dog bite. Little kids are a different story.

depends really.............i mean if the dog is wild but not overly wild then you could use the muzzle only when he does bite someone or sumthin he aint supposed to, but you can't excessively use a muzzle cuz it wud just piss the dog off and then it might come after you for puttin the damn thing on in the first place.

just work on disciplining him....because if the dog needs to have a muzzle on him all the time, he's not really a dog to be around people....well i've never used muzzles on my dogs, so i dont know if it makes them meaner, but it does seem like i'd be a constand irritation/uncomfortable to a dog

lol @ he killed another dog it sounds like the muzzel is necasary if he's agresive toward most people and if you want him mean to be a fighting the muzzel seems like a win win situation.

If he can't be trained to know humans are higher up in the pack, keep the muzzle on. If he bites some random person, they can get the dog put down and who knows if they or the cops will come after you with charges.

I've been wondering what someone would do if a dog came after them... like blinding it with a key in the eyes would do anything.
