Has anyone here seen American History X?
 

Im about to see it and im reluctant cuz of a scene i hear of where this guy gets his teeth scraped on the side of a curb? :( yea call me a pussy but when i see those types of scenes, I always think its gonna happen to me :(

Is it as bad as people say it is? what movies would you compare it with violence wise?

One dude does get curb stomped, but it is still a great movie.

It's not overally violent. The one dude gets curb stomped.. some other dudes get shot.

That's about it.

It is a great movie though.

it doesnt show till about the end...but its a really dope movie

Thats the only graphic scene. Just cover your eyes or something. You'll know when it's coming. Other then that, the movie is really good. Definantly go watch it

i dont see the problem

he tells the dude to put his mouth over the curb and then stomps him in the back of the head, i seen way more graphic scenes than that in other movies

Best part of the whole movie.

I saw the movie like about 5 years ago, so I don't remember the exact details, but that scene wasn't that bad. If I remember correctly, you get a closeup shot of the guy putting his mouth on the curb, but you don't exactly see his skull getting crushed? That scene with him running out and blasting the guys ripping off his stereo from his truck was great. I was watching it at the dorm, and remembered one of the people watching it making a comment how he was holding the gun in the proper form.

American History X is pretty good movie. You have a hardcore racist skinhead that goes to prison where he discovers the errors in his beliefs about other races only to come out of prison to find his younger brother following in his footsteps.

Other good movies involving the topic of racism include Higher Learning and Crash from earlier this year.

Yea i just seen it last night, crazy ass movie...really good, didnt barely have any violence in it compared to other movies ive seen but yea shit was real dope.
