Religious people..
You do realise that nothing you believe has any observational evidence to back it up right?
You do realise that everything you stand for as a human being is simply just what youve been told to believe by the same entity that went around burning all recorded information from the past 10000 years that did not co-incide with their ancient jewish texts that have been proven wrong and changed countless times by an organisation that has lied, killed, perpecuated ignorance, cheated countless millions out of their money for human agenda, etc etc etc.. And yet you people still believe that everything they teach you is 100% unfailable truth.. Basically.... Where does the point come when you actually sit back and think.. Damn.. How can I really believe these people? Why dont I just realise that we havnt worked out everything about the universe we live in yet.. But science...(you know, the religion with the actual proof) is still working on it.. You realise that over the years, religion has basically just had to admit their wrong on countless occaisions when the scientific community invents a theory that fits in with their own data, the church dissagrees based on their age old prejudice... Then gets inevidibly proved wrong because science can actually back their information.. This is where the cracks just keep forming in your belief's... How can you sit there and say anything they tell you to believe is correct just because so far it hasnt been proven wrong... And the key words are "so far" there ladies... I'm not being a biggot... I'm just saying.. What is it that makes you feel so certain your backing the right team? I'd really like to know. |
And for those of you who want to come in here saying "Man, I KNOW from my own experience this stuff is true"..
Ponder upon this if you will.. Back in the 1600's, most people believed so openly that world wide communism was an inevidible progression for human development. And look how far that went....... There has been studies of things such as 'magnet theropy' where people take non-working magnets into a shopping center, strap them to people and tell them a load of bullshit about what their doing.. And people sit there saying "Wow, I really feel energised, I can really feel this working" and furthermore "I would pay over $200 for this product" (that doesent work) Just goes to show how easy it is to fool simpletons with the placibo effect. Keep that in mind as your formulating your replies. |

that point comes in everybody's lives who has faith... which is when the term "faith" really comes into play... questioning your faith only makes it stronger... being a Christian doesnt make you ignorant... |
Whoa..
Way to give absolutly nothing in terms of a logical answer to my question. |
^ i just addressed that one point because we already discussed pretty much everything else in that other thread and i didnt feel like repeating...
|
Cool.. Well thanks for wasting your time...
Means a lot. |
what the hell, dont make a thread with a million different statements if u dont want responses to individual ones...

You didnt even answer that one.. All you said was.. "there comes a time in all christians lives when we question our belief's, it just depends on whether you have faith" That says nothing of why you believe what you believe, that just says.. You'll do it anyway out of ignorance to logic. |

LOOK UP THE FUCKING WORD "FAITH"... lol... if you keep arguing that you have to have facts to have faith, then you're not getting anywhere... |
Belief that does not rest on logical proof or material evidence. See synonyms at belief, trust.
Thats the definition. Blay if you want to continue wasting my time, front some cash and pay me for it. |
Like I said before, the image of God is what turned people off. I'm not part of any religion, but I do believe in God. You don't see or hear him you feel him. The thing is, you either choose to believe in God or you don't. Science itself simply expands on what I BELIEVE god created. I swear people think when you take apart indivisual peices of a machine than the machine doesn't exist as a whole anymore. Just because you can think of new terms and recognize the smaller building blocks of life doesn't mean God didnt create it. I'm not even a christian, it's just how I believe it is. If you actually think your perspective on shit is the ultimate truth than you're the one who needs to think about shit more man.

Well why are you arguing? We have the same views. I believe in god. Because from a scientific standpoint, the innitial conditions for life on earth spawn from such a small ass margin that it is beyond the realm of chance. But dont steriotype my views, because to me.. God could even be an unidentified alien intelligence that constructed the conditions in our solar system for harbouring life. I only go on what I can understand from the scientific data I have observed. |
I'm basically the same way. The thought of God being an alien intellegence from another world really tightens my brain. *feels utterly insignificant*
|
I have a lot of facts that can back that view...
But its still very fringe so I wont bother going into it in this thread for the simple fact that religous people arnt going to be able to forumate arguments against anything I've said.. So I wont give them the opportunity to argue a different post and ignor the origional question. |
Ok why do we exist?
just to do die? it wouldnt make sense. |
