Michael Richards exploded in anger as he performed at a famous L.A. comedy club last Friday, hurling racial epithets that left the crowd gasping, and TMZ has obtained exclusive video of the ugly incident.

Richards, who played the wacky Cosmo Kramer on the hit TV show "Seinfeld," appeared onstage at the Laugh Factory in West Hollywood. It appears two guys, both African-American, were in the cheap seats playfully heckling Richards when suddenly, the comedian lost it.

The camera started rolling just as Richards began his attack, screaming at one of the men, "Fifty years ago we'd have you upside down with a f***ing fork up your ass."

Richards continued, "You can talk, you can talk, you're brave now motherf**ker. Throw his ass out. He's a zzzzzz! He's a zzzzzz! He's a zzzzzz! A zzzzzz, look, there's a zzzzzz!"

The crowd is visibly and audibly confused and upset. Richards responds by saying, "They're going to arrest me for calling a black man a zzzzzz."

One of the men who was the object of Richard's tirade was outraged, shouting back "That's un-f***ing called for, ain't necessary."

After the three-minute tirade, it appears the majority of the audience members got up and left in disgust.

Attempts to reach Richards' reps were unsuccessful.

yeah, dude got owned by the non-comedian too calling him a wash-up and shit, but word i saw this on CNN Breaking News while it was happening and the manager of the "Laugh Factory" where it happened was getting in a loud argument with all the people at the press conference too... *smh*

press conference was hilarious as shit.................................seriously though... not watching the best comedy ever because a comedian lost his cool? that's even dumber then the shit he said...

some real reverse racism going on...black people can make whole bits about white people...its all horrible, but if it goes one way, its going to go the other way too sometimes...

Its not just that, because their are white comedians who can tell intelligent jokes concerning black people and still succeed. He dropped the N word in a sense of talking about slavery. You can tell cause he says the "50 years ago" line right before it. Then tries to justify it by looking to the crowd for support. He's a coward who finally showed his true colors. Racism exists because of people like him (no matter what color). Nuff said.

I'm not saying black jokes, but jokes that consist with black people. For instance, BET's comic view (when it was good), had various white comedians that could make the crowd laugh. As long as people dont cross the line by talking about other races, everything would be straight. But I'm not justifying what other comedians like Dave Chappelle did on their shows. Thats one of the reasons he quit.

it was pretty bad.... but sorta blown outa proportion.... he didnt say anythin really racist, besides the first joke, which for some reason everyone laughed at.... him sayin nigger is not racist, u know.... he doesnt say "ur cheap cuz ur a nigger" or anythin like that....

still not the best way to go about a heckler since theres so much tension over that word
