So...

scientists were finally able to shine some light on dark matter, the main driving force behind our universe...

discuss

not knowing something doesn't make you dumb it just means there is something you don't know...don't be so hard on yourself

i am referring to the most mysterious tangible aspect of our universe. apparenly dark matter makes up a huge proportion of the universe around 80-90% most people will agree...it is the matter in the universe that holds the fabric of space together...however it has remained somewhat directly undetectable due to it not reflecting or emitting enough radiation...

but scientists have finally been able to create a "3d map" of the distribution of dark matter...its exitence still can't be explained all we know is that everything we see when we look up at the stars is affected by dark matters gravity...

Don't regard matter so highly above void.

dazy 01-08-07 05:37 PM

ic i kinda liked that shit , i took physics and everything to...
like newtons law and such

like when u jump in the air the ground jumps wit u ,, his law, for every action there is a reaction

air acts on me
i act on air

or simple

A acts on B

B acts on A

things are pretty awesome as fuck which deals with physics

so what are your thoughts on this?

Compose 01-08-07 05:38 PM

its about time, that shits been a mystery for mad long, dark energy too

WhoAmI 01-08-07 05:46 PM

personally i don't think they'll truly figure out dark energy in our lifetime...and i don't think they'll ever be able to figure out why dark matter exists

but then again dark matter could just exist for the same reason everything else in the universe exists....because it does

I don't know about dark matter, but you talk about matter as if it is very important. In fact, matter doesn't exist and is an illusion, and emptiness is just as important as "matter."

but they are closer to discovering the secrets behind matter than they are to discovering the secrets behind emptiness...

also im taking an objective stance on this...there is clearly evidence to suggest dark matter is significant to the structure of the universe...and finally being able to view something previously undetectable is a step forward for science

Terumoto 01-08-07 06:07 PM

Matter is full of empty space, and matter could not exist without empty space.

dazy 01-08-07 06:15 PM

i think space is more like inside of a vacoom there is no matter at all just empty space that has nothing in it...

WhoAmI 01-08-07 06:18 PM

so dazy explain how absolutely nothing has finally been revealed as something...

Terumoto 01-08-07 06:19 PM

Nothing IS something!

WhoAmI 01-08-07 06:20 PM

in what sense?
