anti-piracy campaign

Pharrell Williams, Mandy Moore, Jason Mraz, Missy Elliott and P. Diddy are all taking part in an anti-piracy media campaign created by the Sony Music Creative Services department. The goal of the program is to encourage music fans to download music though legitimate channels such as iTunes.com and Napster.com. The slogan of the campaign is "I download ... legally." Other artists who have pledged their support include 3 Doors Down, Sheryl Crow, Lenny Kravitz, LL Cool J and Aaron Lewis of Staind. The first advertisements will appear in Billboard magazine. ...

ya think this campaign will have any success????

Face it - no one who can download music or anyone who knows someone who can download music is going to pay. CD's are expensive as fuck these days as it is ..

alias 12-16-03 07:18 PM

some C.D's are like £6 each (dunno how many dollers that is)
illmatic, is what i picked up!!!

self 12-16-03 07:19 PM

I do.

If I really like the CD I buy it.

Shadows On The Sun I bought, Seven Travels, Float, Daylight, sadly, there isn't a lot around me :(

Walter Wall 12-16-03 07:54 PM

word, I also try and support the underground

I recenly bought Shadows of the Sun, Sevens Travels and Bazooka Tooth

.Skribblez. 12-16-03 08:52 PM

Even if they lower the prices.. I'd still download cuz, well if they lower the price then we'd still be payin.

Sheeeit.. artist claim they love to sing, rap or whatever then they shouldn't care about downloadin music..

Accelerate 12-16-03 09:01 PM

If cds would be 10-13$ I have no problem paying for it. I will not waste my money on flops though, so thats why I download songs. For the dope ones, other than that, I still pay for my music. Buying bootlegs and mixtapes counts right?
