Okay...3 US Heads and 3 UK Heads Should go at in audio...
...I'm sick of seeing shit in every thread about which is better.
Three people from each. Three audio battles. Best out of three. Done deal. |
hell ya UK stand up!!!!
this shits gonna be dope! |
that's a no contest...Most people on this board are American. Also, even those who aren't American tend to agree that most UK accents suck. UNF probably has the best flow of any UK head now. Intermental is probably the best at deep, lyrical pieces. Mad Dog has the best voice. I don't really know about too many others.
this is no contest I'd pit CHO, Past Tense, and Myself against any 3 European Heads in a topical verse...and I guarantee you, it won't even be close |
Nah, it should be
3 Canada vs. 3 US vs. 3 UK Done. No more of this who's better. If someone no shows, they are cast out and a new person is put in. No no show wins. |
Actually I agree for Canada participating in this as well.
Me, Phenom, and JPoll if he ever came on. :\ |
LMAO @ UNF havin da best flow...Inter the best Lyrics...ge da fuck outta here...
|
JPoll is comin back for a battle vs. E Style.

ooo I'll get at him on MSN. |
Quote:
ok ok...I had to say somebody but, I do like inter's topics and UNF CAN ride a beat 1 |
Canada should definetly be in it. Most of the good heads on here are from there.
But still our dope level> Candas and UGAys  |
Quote:
Actually that is pretty close to the truth now that I look at it. |
Of course its cl,ose to the truth. I said it.
|
Oh I'll vote
I'm unbiased because I'm Belgian  |
Indeph = The Truth
Hoodz = The Troof |

umm...the top 10 is like 75% US heads don't get it fugged up |
it'd never work cuz like Q said, people think U.K. heads accents make them wack, but to me, most of the U.K. kats are the ones that cover more of the deeper topics more often than my bone-headed U.S. brethren... U.S. heads really only do deeper topics to be different from the crowd and throw in madd multies so they can get props for it, most don't do it to get better or be more creative...most U.S. heads here are run-of-the-mill ass rappers, not artists Canadians, can't really speak on 'em cuz iono who's from Canada or not *shrugs* lyrically, U.K. is better mic prescence and emotion, U.S. is better so it really all depends on what you lookat about a rapper, what makes 'em good to me might be what makes 'em wack to you...it's not about better or worse unless you have strict ass stipulations basically allowing hardly any creative freedom, it'll always just be related to PREFERENCE, not actual SKILL |
Actually...I'm sick of this "deep" MYTH.
!st off, "deep" is a matter of perception. What someone raps about and calls "deep" I may not, depending on my perspective. Most cats on this board don't have a vocabulary as deep as mine. So, when they use "big words", I'm scratchin' my head like, "that's supposed to be deep?" Fact is, kids who are from the UK don't have much else to rap about at the age of 15-16-17-18 other that how their lives suck. Where else in the world can people be decadent like in the United States? So, sue us! We like to have fun and club and party! Every rapper on this board who's considered one of the best raps about "deep" --ish. I know I do. I can't speak for anyone else, but the U.S. rappers would fuck the UK rappers up.PERIOD. stop fakin |
being deep and using big words are not one in the same, I'd never believe that to me, deep is talking about shit that actually m,atters, not just talking about partying, about hoes, about how you sell or do drugs, about being a thug and what-not...yes there's a time and place for all that but people from here in the U.S. tend to stick to that "normalcy" and it's BEEN monotonous to me U.K. rap is fresh and resembles old school rap, their styles, beat choices, it's reminiscent of how "Hip Hop" was, not just weak ass bass rap which was lyrically deeper, not ALWAYS meaning bigger vocab, but topics that speak to something besides you wanting to shake your ass...U.K. rappers are a lot more socially conscious and they can do what they want and be a lot more creative because they don't have that major pressure of "sell sell sell" like the U.S. has because they're industry isn't as big and people aren't putting the kind of money into rap over there that people are over here... people invest more TIME than MONEY into rap in other countries...there people do it because they love it, here it's often times a cop out...a lot of people rap cuz they want all the flashy shit and most don't deserve it and whore the ART of Hip Hop for their own selfish benefit...but of course this is just MY lowly point of view from the little I know, and hear myself and from others about U.K. Hip Hop but still, as I said, it's all a matter of opinion...I believe that on a deep track the U.K. heads would eat U.S. heads alive besides a very few amount of people, but on some club shit yeah, the U.S. heads would chew up U.K. heads they love the music, not the accolades they may recieve from doing the music, but to me, most U.S. rappers don't love the music, they love the industry...they whore the music and the industry is whoring them and their shitty boo boo music and giving them some pocket change compared to what the executives are getting...but the average American rapper is too clouded by Bentleys and diamonds to see this  however, let's not get political |
Quote:
Resembles old school rap? Could that be because they are BEHIND the times? Their flows tend to be simpler too...from what I've heard...I don't think I've heard ONE UK head out rap any US head on this board...I'm saying take the best with the best... Take 3 UK heads who you say have a "nice" flow...then, take 3 US heads who you say have a "nice" flow And look, I'm puttin myself in this comparison here...I have a damn good flow.PERIOD....fuck wut u heard...Then, take maybe ENygma, and a couple others who have NICE flows... Pit us against your top 3 UK heads with "nice" flows...It's no contest...Ur comparing men to boys...THEY being the boys I can't speak on UK rap as a whole, cuz I don't know. I'm, talkin bout to UK heads on THIS SITE. Again, as for deep, WHO IN THE HELL HAS a RIGHT TO SAY WHAT'S DEEP AND WHAT'S NOT? I rap about my grandmother, live, love, dying, betrayal, politics. But, I also rap about flossin. Just because some UK head is a miserable son-of-a-bitch doesn't make him "deep". Come on man! I agree that "clubbin/party" tracks are hackneyed in the US right now. But, there are other rappers out there. I wouldn't even go so far as to say that's what MOST rappers are rapping about. I'd say that's what they MOSTLY PLAY on the radio. Don't get it twisted. US RAP > UK RAP...ANY day of the week BAM |
basic point, we can argue ALL day EVERY day and it still comes down to PREFERENCE and that's not based on facts...there IS no better or worse, it's what you like or don't like it's like how people LOVE comparing Biggie Smalls and Tupac, some liked Pac's style and some liked Big's style...they're both great rappers in their own rights and many respect them both but everyone has a PREFERENCE as to which they ENJOY most, not really which is better or worse...cuz to me, they really had hardly any comparissons rap-wise U.S. heads here are great, I'd never refute that, but there's U.K. heads that can stand aganist them and do damn well, maybe even surpass them with voTes but it's not because they're better, it's because people like them more... you could get a U.K. rapper and a U.S. rapper to spit on the same topic, same beat, use the same damn near everything, and there would still be no better or worse simply because one might have a fast flow and use multies and have fun with it, the other might slow it down some and use metaphors and wordplay while telling a story...it's all about what you precieve as more enjoyable, not better or worse |
^^Agreed...But, remember, the topic of this thread was UK vs US on RV. And, on RV, no UK head is holdin a match to anyone considered a "dope" US head. I don't think UK rappers are wack. I just can't understand 1/2 of what some of them say, literally. Perhaps if they had better quality it would help. I think it's up to them to make people appreciate their music more. Why post it otherwise?
|
goood idea.........
|
goood idea..................
|
Belgian rappers rule...
Seriously |
then I guess I'm the only person that understands 'em *shrugs* not all the U.S. heads have good quality either, mine blows, lol...but people understand me...and there's less of them compared to us so the ratio of good quality -vs- bad quality is probably about the same, but since they have less people in general the diference seems larger...I mean shit, they're just as broke as we are my nigga lol and on a topical I think Acuity would murder lots of U.S. heads here on that abstract rap shit with lots of vocab in it cuz that's kinda his niche...he just needs to be around more Leady is sikk wid it on that political or skraight battling shit...a lot of people just let his eGo stop 'em from admitting that he's good...he knows he's good at what he does and isn't afraid to tell you he's good...I don't agree with anyone being cocky and being serious about it but hey, it's whateva man...do what you do... right now UNF is comin' up on that gutta shit da boi is is a FUCKin' mostah in the making, do NOT sleep on tha kyd people...I think they'd give some U.S. heads a run for their money...he just needs some more practice behind the mic do this battle at the end of January and I can guaruntee you the voTes will be closer than you think...and add on another 2 people for good measure...this will be the best thing to happen to the site since I became a member :) |
^^Ummm..
Youd Didnt have To Say It Twice@Ec lol But It Depends On What You Class As "Better Than" Some Us Cats Are Whack Some Uk Cats Are Whack... Simple But All In All THis Site Has More Us Heads Than Uk Heads Anyway So That May Put A Advantage To Them But Yeah I See Where You GOin With This... O Thx For the Comment BOut me Q:) And Thx L V |
Quote:
yea...ur a minority with that thinking nuff said |
<-- only U.S. head that ever stands up for U.K. heads lol damn, I should get my citizenship transferred lmao |
^Wanna switch? Well...Belgium is close to it hehe
|
i agree acuity's topicals would murder most heads on this site...
|
Q.... first of all, ur full of shit... for starters the majority of the UK audio heads here are still learning, where as the better american heads have been doing this alot longer.... as far as the simple flow comment goes, ur judging that on who exactly??? sum of the new heads on here or sum of my weaker tracks??? listen to heads like mr manage, syanyde or download the foriegn beggars album "asylum speakers" aswell as heads like lowkey and i guarantee u they drop more complex flows than the so called "greats" reppin america right now.
secondly, a competition like that wud never work, for starters due to the bias against UK rappers than consists on this site, aswell as the fuckin buddy system where every1 sucks each others dicks. i cnt be arsed aregueing the rest of ur comments cos its simply, stupidity defined. as for behind times.... no we arent, uk hip hop as been around since before slikk rikk.... it just hasnt "evolved" as quick as u would say... or in reality cases, we havent forgotten what hip hop is about and keep all the different elements(rap, breakdance, beatbox, DJ/production, graffiti) all as equal as each other... u go to most battle events here, ull find dance battles, rap battles, graffiti battles, production battles, dj battles, all in the same event.... i doubt u find that anywhere over there |
Quote:
Thats kinda standard in Canada actually. Thanks for coming out tho.... |
I'd be down for this, seeing as how I've been somewhat neutral in this US/UK beef.
|
Quote:
what does canada have to do with this when this debate was talking about america and UK???? |
well if you look at your own quote you said you doubt you would find any other the other elements anywhere else...
|
my exact words were "ANYWHERE OVER THERE"... not anywhere else... so learn to read properly first, and concidering tha q and l.v debate was referin to US and UK, and i was talking to tha q n nobody else, would make it pretty obvious im reffering to the U.S

we live on the same continent and basically have most everything in common. That's like separating Scotland and Ireland. Yeah, they're separate entity's, but i bet there sure as hell have alot of the same shit. So before you go around throwing general comments out like 'ANYWHERE OVER THERE", maybe you should realize you've never BEEN "ANYWHERE OVER THERE", and don't know shit about our culture. So shut your mouth bitch. word. 1 |
