For an F chord I find it easiest to put your 1st finger over the entire first fret, but if it's easier for you just put it over the first fret of the B & E strings. Place your 2nd finger on the 2nd fret of the G string and your 4th finger on the 3rd fret of the D string and 3rd finger on the 3rd fret of the A string.

The strings you're holding are basically an E one fret over with the entire first fret covered obviously with different fingers though.

Easy electric songs to learn.. try out some Rolling Stones tunes.

shit i meant

I have my pointer finger on the first fret of B string. Middle finger on first fret of high E string. Ring finger on 2nd fret of G string and pinky on 3rd fret of D string.

^that's basically same thing right? or am I missing a string playing it like that?

Only thing is, like even putting first finger on the two low strings is tough for me. Like iunno if there are any finger exercises you can do to get your fingers used to playing barre chords, but it's almost impossible for me to play a barre chord lol

fender or bc mother fucking rich

JTR 01-14-10 05:34 PM

just recorded this today. word

Red Bull 01-16-10 10:53 AM

BC Rich is awful, that guitar is a piece of shit.

Cool vid, I remember learning, every song you start to get down makes you feel so dope. I fucking hate Metallica though.

J. Luth 01-16-10 02:08 PM

^looks like it too.

but word lol, every lil riff i learn makes me feel like a beast. I'm just waiting till I can play a full damn son.

lol tho, my friend is nasty on her acoustic. She taught me some Taylor Swift songs. haha her songs are soo easy. They're like D, A, Em, G and sometimes C. Like come onn

Adam 01-16-10 04:25 PM

I'm telling you, learn Neil Young's Heart of Gold. It's just Em, C, D, G. It's actually a respectable song and it's simple as fuck.

J. Luth 01-16-10 08:29 PM

word ima do it.

but yoo

at 28-29 seconds that slide. Like wtf? It looks like its mad easy whenever i see people do it. But like is there some trick behind it to make it sound ill?

like what i thought all they doing is pressing down on a string and sliding finger up or down the neck of the guitar. But when i do it, doesn't sound too loud or as ill. They picking that string as they do it or something?

btw, that riff for that song looks mad easy and it's dope, so trying to learn it.

I'm not as good as you yet.

Adam 01-17-10 04:32 PM

That slide has to do with the tone of your guitar and how hard your pressing on the strings. That song is gay, don't learn it.

J. Luth 01-17-10 04:38 PM

lol you don't like it? I hate the singer, but I just like Slash's riff.

Adam 01-17-10 04:55 PM

Learn some CCR and Rolling Stones, some real bad asses.
