Word to that...So true...People hate rap because its demeaning to women, theres soo much beef, it "encourages" violence, its typically expressed as black music, and because they stereotype when they hear eminem talking bout raping his mother and NWA getting threatened by the CIA...its corrupt....

Personally, I hate Hip-Hop.

I have this friend, he's from LA. And he's talking about how REAL the gangsters and shit are down there. I mean fuck, those are dirty old bastards. And then he comes up here to Oregon and sees all the "gangsters" here. Bunch of teenage white clean cut shower every day throwback and mesh hat wearing English speaking spikey gelled hair mother fuckers whos worse crime they've ever comitted was jay walking.

And that is why I hate Hip-Hop. Because it's nothing but a bunch of dirty criminals, and the little kids who want to be just like them.

Oh yeah, and then there is the fact that most so called Hip-Hop heads couldn't tell you the difference between the country of Africa and the Godfather of Hip-Hop, Afrika Bambaataa. If you mention Grandmaster Flash, they'll think you're talking about a new psychadelic drug or something.

Ure retarted and stupid and I know who Afrika Bambata is and who Grandmaster Flash is u dumbass hello? The Message is a hip-hop classic.

i feel people hate rap because the music has SO MANY followers they're affraid of wut people say in thier music, the listeners will do...they're juss basically affraid of wuts gonna happen if people were to do wut rappers say THEY do u kno? plus its kinda a get rich quicc scheme...also its basically juss jealousy u kno? and also the "vulger" language...

Everything you just said... pretty much proves your idiocy.

1-I said most Hip-Hop Heads. Clearly, that does not denote ALL Hip-Hop heads. Now, funny thing is, irregardless of it's classicality, because most Hip-Hop heads got no respect for the past, to of listened to The Message you'd either have to be around when it was made, which would make you an old man. Have deep love for old school, which would not make you a hater and thus not of made the post you did, or simply heard it by chance.

2-I'm on rapbattles.com for my own reasons. Mostly because I am a nerd with no life who has nothing better to do. But I also like to bitch and moan. And occasionally reading and even less occasionally commenting on poetry.

3-Good Comedy is clearly not your strong suite. For that you should be shamed, for comedy is the root of all things good.

Because it talks about sex, drugs, violence...etc.

And because they're ignorant

Who cares? Do your own damn thing.

Basically... having respect for the past don't come into it...

I ain't heard of the guy, but it don't take nothing away from the fact I'm into real Hip Hop.. its progression.. peeps learn more each day, particulary with net access etc..

But I think peeps hate Hip Hop.. cos they judge a book by its cover really..
The no instruments etc.. blah blah.. many don't realise what this site shows for instance.. the multies/wordplay etc.. the aspects incorporated into each track or whateva.. deep tracks etc.. I suppose the same could be said for any music type.. classic/rock whateva.. all seem to be something their not til peeps get into the culture..

Also wannabe gangsta's that listen to Hip Hop are everywhere.. but real heads pay no attention... so it bothers no one really.. most get laughed at..

..when kids fuck up..parents need something to blame the shit on..and..most parents don't think it's "their" fault and they need a escape route..and they blame the shit on "Hip-Hop"..it's very fucking SAD....

Basically, So many people hate hip hop nowadays because of the violence involved in songs. Its mostly the older audience that has a problem wit this though.
