lol!!!! ja rule has somehting to say? he can hardly spell, and when he speak's all you hear is him doing his best impression of the cookie monster. that said though, i've never actually bought any of his albums, so maybe next to all his wannbe gangster and repetitive radio friendly duet bullshit he says some tracks with deep politcal messages. heck, maybe i'm just ignorant, and 'we gon clap' back said over and over again for a hook was actually a well thought out dig at the stagnant nature of hip hop. then again, maybe i just don't like the prick. oh well. not exacylt being a fan, i'm not gonna apreciate nething he says, even if it is important. i do recognise everybody's right to an opinion, it's just that this is mine. so if u do like him, feel free to go ahead and buy ja's next album or whatever, and just ignore me. as for em, not sure whether i'll buy his album. depends on how good people say it is i guess. i only bought his last one cos it had like £5 off, but if it's a great album, i guess i'll get it. |
Eminem IS falling off, whether you like it or not. His peak was in 2001. He started out with an underground lyrical style, but his delivery was weak and his album was generic (not to mention a imitation of Illmatic). Then he released the Slim Shady and Marshall Mathers LP's which weren't quite as good lyrically, but it was a good tradeoff. He lowered his lyrics but his delivery became far more passionate, and his subject matter became more interesting (fucked up yes, but interesting too). Personally, I am not a fan of an album where half the songs are battles, maybe one or two, but not half. His production was also far better. He kept all his 1999-2000 energy into 2001 with collabs like "Renagade", but after 2001 everything became gangsta, leave me alone, Ja Rule and Benzino suck.
He might be selling more than ever, but becoming lyrically average from being lyrically strong and becoming just another gangsta rapper is called "falling off". Unless Eminem brings something original out in 2004, he's in trouble. I sure don't want an album full of songs like "Go To Sleep". |
He fell off a bit with the Eminem Show, but he's makin his comeback with the green lanter tapes, and this album's gotta be some hot shit to counteract all this bullshit.

..em's decent...

whats on the new eminem cd
is there good songs???? |
^ you should control your mood swings. Didn't you just call Eminem a "crap white rapper"?
|
Em talking shit and pissing people off is not where he's going to go next. He's already been there and done that.....and continues to do that because he is a gimmick. This is just Dre's attempt at keeping that gimmick alive.
|
I think wogsta ^^ said it best. . . and if you think the green lantern mixtape songs are hot... i can't say anything that will make you understand how eminem IS falling off
|
let's wait and see
|
em's gimick is played. "he is going to piss people off" yea wow whats new?. why doesnt he actaully rap some songs with actuall concepts instead of tring to be "mr contraversy".
