fuck UK rap, US rap, fuck Canadian rap.

all regions have good and bad emcees. I'm canadian but i really dont care what i listen to. it all depends to what u like, and what u like doesnt determine whats good or not, personally i cant stand Buck 65, he's canadian, so i aint just biggin up my people.

Word.

HighClass still listens to Eminem.

yo canada has a lot of a different style than a lot of american rap. Down south they have crunk as the main trend. In the west they have the laid back pimpin and westcoast gangsta as the trend. New York they have that whole HipHop original and East Gangsta. In Canada, our rappers are way more into the reggae thing with people deeply influenced from it like kardi and the rascals. If you look at our main frontline mc's, almost all of them have dreads and a bit of a caribean accent.

dl incognito is dope he'll be a legend soon...........

Ok first off let's clear the air here . . . nobody said Canadian rap was a topic to inspire discussion on whether there are class, race or geographic lines in music.

The point is to share some knowledge about a group of (possibly) overlooked artists...

Let's not forget:
Choclair
Rascalz
K-Os

Other notable Canucks:
Kardinal Offishall
Saukrates
Brassmunk
Bishop and Section 6

Little known:
Reign

Don't bother with Swollen Members later stuff (they've gotten soft). Buck 65 is boring and last but not least, look for Maestro(formerly Maestro Fresh Wes) to make a comeback. His latest joint "God Bless the Child" is tight

{Peace}
