I'm not really worried about spammers. If they spam a crappy site, will you end up staying there? Probably not. If there is a better site out there, then people would be there instead of here. And if there really is a better site out there, then we aren't doing our job as best as we can. In addition, we have a hack in planning that would thwart most the driveby spammers.

Do you forgot this is half of RB.... so when you say is the a better site out there people could easlly say Old Rb is more active. and sorted for now that is the case. truthlly..but maybe later New Rb Might become competition lets just wait eh?

I don't think the introduction forum is needed, it's stupid. It's going to be a bunch of useless threads, freeposts, etc.

I strongly advise you take this out, people are going to get posts by welcoming everybody in there and it won't be considered freeposting.

If the Old RB is better... people will go there. They will be happy. I'll be happy for them. Or maybe they end up going to both sites. That'll be great. Point being is that they can go anywhere they want and there is nothing you, me, or anyone can do about it... My job is to make them want to come back here.




I rather they post the welcome threads in there than in here. When you say no welcome threads in the rules, people will still end up doing it. At least it's controlled.

Well, if controlled properly, im sure welcome threads shouldnt be a problem. I guess you should just inforce some strict rules in that forum so that freeposts dont occur. Ill be going on both Old RB and New RB. Ill remain Neutral for now.

Yes, but it rarely happens. Maybe a few times a week, but with all the members we'll be getting you're basically saying "freepost" away. If you put some mods on here then they'll be closed. You see how quick those welcome threads get closed there. And honestly, who cares where they're from, it's pointless. If anything, make the posts not count in that forum.

Yeah, most noobs freepost in welcome forums and they gain about 50 posts in about 5 minutes. I dont see why there should be one, but then again, if there are strict rules enforced in that forum, then i dont see why not.

There is a hack you can get so any outside links, it blanks out automatically when their posted. RapMusic has it. But yeah, hardly any sites worth posting at spam other boards, so if they do, their probably not worth joining anyway ..

Didnt we all agree post counts dont matter much? Then why in the hell should freeposting matter? As long as its not blatant 100 posts in the same thread saying "Lol" or something then i personally wouldnt mind people freeposting here, it'd make it more active - which is what Strobe and Cprogress wanted, correct?
