i think slowly that more fake ass rappers like chingy and j-kwon will emerge, and that real rappers like common, or even kanye, nas, jay-z, will be harder to come by in mainstream......but in the underground, it will always be the same.........

rap will die out within about thirty years to 40 years, like disco music. Disco music is still being done by people, but of course not accepted in the new age. It will go back to where it came from. Its origins. Back before the news first aired it as a new phenomenon. It'll go back to neighborhoods, back to it's purest form as a lost art, or another form of art. But the other components of hip hop will last forever, breaking, graffiti, they will stay as long as we do. but rap will die out as a popular music. And go back to underground as a sort of commodity, something someone would listen to that would make them different.
There are different types of music that we don't even know about that're loved by people, but not known about by the general public. People will look at you weird when you say, "I listen to rap." and then you'll have to explain it. Saying, "It used to be really popular in the early nineties to the earliest part of the 2000's. Everybody used to listen to it."
