Write ideas down, just seperate words or a half sentence...After I did that for few minutes or until I have enough stuff to write a decent verse, I start re-wording things, adding multis and more complex rhymes/vocab. But it's all about having a good base to start from...just creative ideas popping into your head and such...

get a scrap piece of paper jot down sum ideas & eventually ova a few minutes of thinking of words 2 fit in each phrase i got a song

Just jot down a couple of words that ryhme and then relate them together into lines. If it doesn't sound good, you can go back and customize it to be even better.
You should always start from the bottom, think, write, and then edit.. |
i usally freesyle in front of ppl to get better but when im writing things down i write it in bars sumtimes then i usally write like punches or stuff like that

dont write rhymes if your trying to write an open mic or battle. for an open mic write out the topic and all the feelings and the points you wanna get across and do the rhyming words last since its the easiest part....for battles get the concepts and the punch first then do the rhyming last...rhyming is easy as fuck, its the content thats most important so do that first
