no you don’t (necessarily) need a preamp but shit man if you cant get the volume up 1 you don’t have a clue what your doing. 2 YOU NEED A PREAMP I don’t know any serious artists that don’t use some kind of pre-amplification it goes hand in hand with any good mic just like the other guys said.

gotta agree with phenom thats the same mic i got a shure58 and i got a m-audio pre amp same shit but i only paided 100 dallors since i bought it with the mic and a stand also i got a lil deal you gonna have to download the m audio cd that comes with it also to change your drivers before you can use it as well which takes a little space on your comp but the amp really helps the mic 1000% so go get it or your 100 dalllor mic is worthless :thumbup: |
