I also spend a heap of time making sure it will appeal to more than just rap heads and that I'm saying stuff that everyone can relate to over just a select group.. I take my music real serious and out of the nearly 500 pages of lyrics I've written in my 2005 rhyme document, I'm only using a real small portion of it (ie: my absolute best stuff goes on the cd)..
Not to mention countless hours and hours of working on my rhyme technique and delivery untill now I easily pull off 5 syllable multi strings of about 5 or 6 sequences..

but word, yo. That's tight. What i'm doin' now, is jus tryin' to get comfortable on the mic and shit, and develop my own style soon. So for now I jus am usin' commercial beats and shit, jus so I can feel comfortable everytime I spit. Tryin' to develop my own style so I kno exactly how I wanna spit it when i step to the mic. Cuz now it takes me like 10-15 tries before I figure out how I wanna spit the verse. lol But shit lik epeople say it's harder wit commercial beats to develop your own style, cuz you'd tend to mimic the originators flow and so on. which I tend to do a lot i've been told. lol so I'ma slowly start movin' on to original beats. And when I get a feel for it, then start workin' on deepin' my lyrical ability. Right now i'm jus tryin' to find my style that i can work wit.
but word, yea, same wit me, I have soo many word documents I wrote verses on, but I ain't usin' most. Gotta pick ones I like only and think people will like
