The roots of this country when it became civilised are based on other races being inferior strait up. I mean everytime something needed to be done they brough over some asians or blacks to do it. Actually, i've taken a class about this in college. The correct term to be used is "people of African Descent" or "people of asian descent" for the simple reason that many jamacians and such that live in the United States, do not want to be considered African American if they are not originally from here. But yea, if you want to learn more, just pm me, or take a class about African American Diasporia Studies :o

u should be proud of having african/jamaican/whatever roots but at the same time americans are americans and thats it, everyone (except for the natives) living in america is from sumwhere else. but in saying that, there are Irish americans n stuff and they tend to be white...
