I believe that MLK shit. Lord simply means having power over. And savior is anyone who rescues or saves. MLK DID save us. So he can be considered a savior. Someone who's strength can inspire you. everyone needs a lord of some form, most peoples lord is within them self, but a higher form is good. MLK was respected in america and some what world wide, so would you rather he be lord rather than a maybe mythilogical jesus?

To us, it makes sense, but to someone hearing us call him lord and savior without a long explanation and a few definitions, it seems radical as fuck and will cause people not to give a fuck what you say. If you're going to try and preach, people need to listen first.

Jesus isn't mythological merely because he was far before our time. I don't think we need to adopt a new symbol if one seems too far away, it seems purely hypocritical of religion and true belief. Jesus is my lord and savior, MLK was a highly intelligent man with good beliefs and the drive to reach his goals, but as far as i'm concerned, saving my soul from myself > convincing white people to like me more than usual.
