on the subject though, I wanna see this movie, I've BEEN hearing that it's a good one and they really are both good actors, prolly will see this one eventually

wtf??? first off..... breaking ground doesnt automatically mean its a good movie.... the movie shouldnt win an oscar cuz its a serious movie about gay people.....

and crash did break ground.... i dont think it can beat gay cowboys...... but i think racism is almost as much or more pertinent in the world today.....

I didn't say it meant it was a "good" movie. But, Brokeback WAS a good movie, plus it was ground breaking. Crash was an excellent movie. But, that premise was done before. SPike Lee had a movie back in the late 80s called "Do the right thing" which addressed the same issues, albeit in a less sophisticated way. The point is, Brokeback is avant garde. Crash was just an excellent, well-made movie.
