Saying "If you don't stop doing text, you're off of the site" will just leave people like "Alright, fuck this then" and leave the site.

You're making a suggestion that would never work, as it's a lose-lose situation. You can make the site all audio by doing that, sure.. but you'll lose over half the members, which would lead to inactivity and eventually the site being close.
