bro Public Opinion dosen't bring evidence, Public Opinion can't repair destroyed dna samples, Public Opinion dosen't stand up in a court room.

Nah son...public opinion has EVERYTHING to do with this case...If Duke or the attorneys for the accused can make the victim out to be a liar, just a greedy "stripper", and unstable, then it damages the credibility of her case. We all know that justice is not blind. It's supposed to be. But, unless someone lives under a rock, the media plays a huge role in the outcomes of trials. I'm saying that with enough pressure, Duke will punish someone. And, Oprah, along with other Civil Right's activists, could really pressure DUke to ante up.

yea, but why are they pickin on the Duke Students??????? None of them matched the DNA and it was alil suspicious in the beginnin that they had to test ALL of them..... and also, wen she first went to the hospital, she sed that she got sexually assaulted but that she never mentioned who did it...... so how is it that theyre goin after these Duke Kids........ the fuckin prosecution are the ones coverin shit up in my opinion.... they either are out to get the Duke students or they are hiding some info that connects the rape to Duke

and btw NO ARRESTS have been made....... its an investigation which has caused the coach to resign and the team to cancel its season even tho the duke students are JUST possible suspects....... obviously there is NO CASE if they havent made a single arrest..... i mean her eyewitnessing of the duke students would be enough for a damn arrest....

u guys are all tryna make this a racial issue, and maybe it is, but the fact is that the prosecution says that she knows who did it, and that she can identify them..... and that would be enough, no matter how crooked u all THINK the world is, to get these kids atleast a second in the cell and brought in for interrogation.........

and if u dont know who tawana brawley is, shes this like 16 yr old girl who went "missing" for four days saying that she was raped by 3 or more white men (some being police officers)....... it caused the same uproar that this case has caused, the same accusations of racism, and the same amount as evidence as this one: none. And what did we find out in the end???? The girl faked the WHOLE thing (including bruises, torn clothes, shit on her face, and bein thrown in a dumpster) all because she didnt want her mom to be mad that she was with her bf for awhile... (thats not 100% confirmed, but she had been seein her bf during that time who was in jail i believe, and her parents didnt approve of him)

Just to make this clear tho, im not makin any judgements that this woman did the same thing, but as of now, there is NO evidence...... people should stop tryna make this some trial by the Public and Media wen, in actuality, we know NOTHING about it...... all we know is that some girl got raped and says that it was by some lacrosse players.......

i'll put it like Big Pooh did at the Little Brother show here at UNC (like 5 miles down the road from Duke, as you all know)..."I would hate to see the hood in Durham take action on all those poor white folks, so the courts better get on this shit"... lol, and its true...for those of you who dont know, Durham is aboooout 50% African American, which is huge, so racial shit like this isnt gonna last long...

Bringing a Jury like that would be considered "tainted" and would be grounds for a mistrial and add to that, the prosecutino would never let jury selection go down that way.
Public Opinion is irrelevant in cases. Real evidence about someones character comes up in court, not on TV. In court, the "contained" jurors may find out that she's some big-heart who just happens to strip for money for some great reason which nullifies anything the defense could say about her character simply because she strips.

Just cuz she strips her self of her clothes dosen't mean she strips her self of her rights. Dosen't mean she's not a human being.


Public opinion (as in mass opinion) holds no weight at all in court. Look how many people were painted to believe that MJ molested kids since that's the picture they paint in the media, yet he walked a free man due to uncorroborated stories and "beyond a reasonable doubt".

Court's the place where outside opinions really hold no weight. take it from me, I've been to court more times than I can possibly count.
