you should never work out every day. your body adapts to physical demands put on it so it builds muscle outside the gym, not in it.
working out anything every day = overtraining, and doing an extreme few reps = not training at all. gotta make them muscles work son! then give em time to relax, then work em again, and so on. be built in no time. |
Apexx is right...
For losing weight, believe it or not walking is the best. Your body has three energy systems, one is APT/PT (maybe PC?), one is the anaerobic system and the last one is the aerobic system. Don't worry about the first one, you just need to worry about the other two. Anaerobic - Alactaic acid system, which is the one that causes lactic acid to build up in your muscles. This one is used when training at maybe 60% or higher intensity. Doesn't help with losing weight. Aerobic - This is the energy system that burns fats and proeteins for energy. If you have any fat, it will take that first (which we all obviously do), and only in extreme cases does it break down muscle for energy. This system is used probably around 20-40% intensity... And walking at a steady pace gets you right in the zone. Thats it for losing weight.. also eat right and all that shit thats already been said. ------------------------------ As for getting toned... Do you want big muscle or functional muscle? If you dont need to be doing a lot of stuff that requires quick movements and power rather than strength, you'll want to just build muscle quickly. So eat a lot of meat, eggs, etc.. anything with protein.. get yourself some protein supplement (whey protein is good) and have that. Get into the gym doing low reps and high weight... But make sure you're doing enough work for the protein you take in, cos if you dont it'll just turn into useless fat. If you want functional muscle, then I suggest staying out of the weights room altogether and keeping away from protein supplements. I doubt you would want this though.. The majority of people are just after muscle mass. If you do want to go this way, just let me know and ill explain it better. |
^^well said.
To keep that protein usage at it's peak, it's suggested that you eat meals high in protien AFTER you work out. Your muscles become the #1 priority on the "protien request list" so it gets used to its fullest. Consuming the same amount of protien before working out results in less muscle absorbption. oh yeah also, your muscles eract at their peak when you're using weights heavy enough to ONLY do a max of 10 to 12 reps the first set, then 8, then 6, then 4. if you can do more than 12 reps with that weight, you're not working the muscle. word to the muscles. |
Good...
Diet, not eatin a lot of shit that wont do anything. Eat less fatty foods and more healthy foods. Work out as often as you can. if possible hit the gym, all the tools are there. Dont get lazy when it comes to working out too. Finish reps, dont slack off. |

for eating...if you drink soda a lot, then if you stop for just 1 week, you might feel the difference. lots of water instead, drink juice, eat all your green vegetables, even spinach but i hate brussel sprouts everything else is great. just dont go on any Special K diets lmao this link has a lot of home workout tips and articles for you to read if you cant get a chance to go to the gym... www.rossboxing.com/thegym.html |

No doubt bruh...it's all bio chemistry...Th e body is an engine...and is quite predictable In general, the body needs 15 calories per pound to maintain current body weight. So, in order to gain weight, you go above that amount. To lose weight, eat under that amount. Once you understand how the body works, you can control your weight at will. It's really all science. E.g. Someone who weighs 100 lbs should eat 1500 calories a day to stay at 100 lbs, barring any excessive exercise. Just multiply. If they wanted to lose weight, they could cut their daily caloric intake to 1000 calories...Get it? If you want advice on fat reducing foods, holler at me. Bro, I've been doing this and studying this for years. I've gotten it down to a science. |
run 10 laps every other day...
do intervals... eat veggies NO CARBONATED drinks... NO fries or sweets. DO crunches.. About 300 of them every other day. |
I would say low fat foods and going for jogs an hour a day. =P
|
Keep in mind that taking in less calories does not necessarily mean taking in less food... It means taking in BETTER food. Sometimes people need to eat more food than they usually do to lose weight.
|
yea..i'm starting right now, i'm only gonna drink juices and water, none of that carbonated caffiene crap............
