...k. I like making things complicated. So mhm, er, ah...

if a thought didn't exist, why do I think? Reality is perception? Meepeep?

Thoughts dont need to exist for them to exist.

crazy hades, for arguments sake, does something have to be tangible in order for it to "exist"?

JTR 08-26-06 05:41 PM

I think you're wasting your time, lol

Crazy Hades 08-26-06 08:05 PM

Name something that isn't tangible that exists, besides energy, I suppose, unless you would consider that tangible. You two are such big assholes, asking these questions.

Explain to me how something can exist when it doesn't exist. Perhaps my weak mind can't comprehend how if I didn't have an apple infront of me I'd have an apple infront of me.

That apple thing is completely tangible. If you understand the true ways of yin and yang, not having an apple in front of you seems to make more sense than having an apple in front of you.

by definition, wind doesn't exist. gravity doesn't exist. magnetism doesn't exist.

yet we feel the effects of every one of them and infact, need them all to survive.

did you ever think your life would hang in the balance of things that "don't exist"?

Magic5 08-26-06 09:42 PM

All I know is, One Man Band has that tight ass game, for real.

Crazy Hades 08-27-06 01:11 AM

Wind is the roughly horizontal movement of air (as opposed to an air current) caused by uneven heating of the Earth's surface.

How is wind not real? By who's definition? Are you saying that force is not tangible, and if it's not tangible it doesn't exist?

There is no set definition of what existence's definiton is..unless you want to get into some bullshit complicated philosophy concerning predicates and subjects. If I can stick my hand out and feel the wind, and I have weight, and I can connect two magnets, as far as I'm concerned, it's a simple matter. You may want to go into some complex reverieof intangibility and the existence of forces, but still...I can arguably state that wind exists, or an effect similar to wind, though somewhat different.

Am I still not understanding the concept of this thread?

Terumoto 08-27-06 02:09 AM

Yeah you still arent understanding it. What you said wasnt wrong though.

nope, that's not what i'm saying, thats whta YOU'RE saying lol. That's how you got into the comparison of an apple (tangible) and a thought (intangible), though you can't put your hands on them you feel the effects of thoughts, so how do they not exist?

seems like you're debating 180ยบ of your original position.

Crazy Hades 08-27-06 10:53 AM

My original position was a shot in the dark to see what the hell you two are talking about. Try to put it into Layman's terms here.

∆ P E X X 08-27-06 12:19 PM

if you're just saying shit to see how I'm gonna respond, i don't even see a point in responding. especially when you already got an answer.
