sage francis screams in a third of his songs..not that i dig that...but...brother ali...sage francis, and the entire rest of the fucking rhymesayers...only have one thing in common...that is the label...so can you place them in a generic group, when there is no group?
anyways, brother ali is dope....he's dope because he's well rounded..he doesn't really accel in any specific area, speaking in comparison to good, underground rappers.
His lyrics are good, at times phenomenal..at other times...pretty weak...but you can bet that most of his music is definately above average for lyrical content.
his delivery is on point....but he uses the same delivery...all the time...it's like immortal technique..shit can start to sound drawn out.....he's always fairly intense in his presence...you can feel the passion in what he's saying...and thats a constant.
forest whitaker is a cool little song...nothing to complex...nothing too exciting...but it'll give you atleast a reasonable idea of what your getting yourself into by listening to him as far as content and delivery.
