A line is one dimensional, so if it has dimension in any way it has to exist. Assuming everybody finds the 1 dimensional thing axiomatic. Whether it comes to a halt is the real question. Similar to the universe and the big bang, the study of it coming to a halt and the nature of its expanse and its dimensions is string theory..

however a line doesn't have to go on infinitely for it to be a line |
Uh, that's part of the definition on a line man. Their suppose to be infinite.

What if you draw a line on a page with a ruler thats 3cm long?
|
It has dimension because its mass is relative to the sheet of paper its drawn on. Even without the paper, the graphite gives the line its dimension.

lines are difined in themsleves

^^explain and magik how can a line not be a line unless its infinite...that makes no sense so you mean to say that everything that forms the convention idea of a line has to be infinite?
