The poem I wrote on a pad of rice paper that didn't exist,
with the long feather of a bird whose egg was made of soil,
dipped in ink ground from an ink stone that was half unearthed minerals
and half absence of human toil, read:

Dear father and son,
my age is now and never.
Sincerely, no-one.
