Yeah, see that whole thing makes sense.

But the President's role in that system seems a bit redundant... It's as if you could take the President out of the picture and the government would still work in almost exactly the same way.

The President also serves as a check and balance because he can veto laws or bills that he feels would hinder the state of our country. However, a 2/3 majority vote could overturn a president's veto. He does serve a purpose, just most people overlook some of the good the position brings

If Congress attempts to pass a bill, the president has the power to block it...But, Congress, in turn, has the power to override his "veto" with a 2/3 majority.


I actually love this system of government...Our forefathers were pretty smart to set it up this way...prevents Sadam Husseins here in this country...NOw, if only Congress would grow some nads.

The two way system is flawed though, if you think about it.

Two houses, the house of congress and the house of the president. Two.

That's one clashing the other and no third to balance it.

That's why I've been suggesting to all you grown ass mother fuckers out there, to vote for the National Initiative. This adds a third house to congress and allows the PEOPLE OF THE UNITED STATES to express THEIR opinion on all matters the congress and the President get to decide on.

I believe if u get a certain amount of valid signatures, you can get something passed...
