I beg to differ.

Bruce Wayne has two different personalities when he's not in the costume. Billionaire Bruce Wayne. Where his "ballerness" is an act to make people make no connection with him and Batman. And the real Bruce Wayne. I agree that Tony Stark relates alot to Billionaire Bruce Wayne, but the real Bruce Wayne I can't really relate to Tony Stark at all.

Take Bruce Wayne in "No Man's Land", after sensing the coming storm he left as Bruce Wayne to fight it politically but was taken as an air headed billionaire by everyone. Same as Tony Stark. Both Billionaire playboys considering Bruce Wayne is considered to be "Gothams's most elligible bachelor". Besides that, he doesn't act like he does to throw people off, that's his personality. He doesn't need to act like anything to do that. He's done it using robin and body doubles so he could talk to batman in front of people.

Besides that, look up the Marvel Vs. DC war. His life is compared to that of starks.

[QUOTE=-TeamOne-]jokin right, bruce wayne and tony stark interchangeable, that tickles me pink.

Why not, when batman was impersonated convincingly by the Huntress who may i remind you was a woman who looked nothing like him. And iron man impersonated by James Rhodes during the secret wars. Rhodes is nothing like iron man and Huntress is NOTHING like batman (neither is Azreil who also took batman's place). In or out of costume they're fairly interchangeable.

But i do here pink is popular nowadays

I see you know alot about the comics, and I'm sure you're right on some level regarding them. But, I'm pretty sure everyone in here is talking about the portrayal of Bruce Wayne in the Nolan films. In which case, Tony Stark and the real Bruce Wayne are nothing alike.

Edit: When I say Tony Stark, I mean the portrayal of him in the Jon Favreau film, or however you spell him last name. Don't feel like looking it up.

im talking about bruce wayne and tony stark PERIOD, like it was said before, when tony stark is in public or not he's kind of a goofball in a sense, but bruce wayne is more serious, BUT i DO agree that robert downey jr. portrayed tonystark alot better than Christian bale portrayed Bruce Wayne, but he didnt really get alot of time onscreen as JUST bruce wayne

Just because you don't get a lot of time doesn't mean in the short time you can't impress. During the fund raiser he could have charmed significantly more.

is Dark Knight really as good as the you lot say? if so i might go and see it or wait for it to come out on BD

It's good enough to make you think the first one was shitty if you watched it again. ... almost

Kirk 07-24-08 03:17 PM

You mean the 1989 one?

07-24-08 03:18 PM

...... Nah, I was thinking more like the one that preceded this one ..

Kirk 07-24-08 03:24 PM

Yeah. I kinda like certain aspects of each film better than the other. The villians and action scenes in The Dark Knight killed those in Begins but I liked the back story to how he became Batman alot in Begins. The slower dialogue scenes in both films kinda suck though.

But anyway, I thought you might be talking about Tim Burton's Batman because I watched it the other day and it was still a good movie, but everything seemed so lame and over the top. Espcially Jack Nicholson dancing around a museum.

Indeph 07-24-08 04:42 PM

The joker's performance made pretty much every non joker scene in the movie feel dull, even if they all did very well in the movie. The next batman will suck though without joker. Two face better pull off the best performance of all time.

begins didn t have half the budget this movie did sort of like the first xmen movie

i agree public bruce wayne is very similar to public tony stark..... but in private situations wayne is much more serious while tony stark is still his "baller" self when he's by himself or just talking to one of his close friends.... and thirdly batman's attitude is less than that of a "Hero" as it is a Villain to the Villains, in all the Batman scenes he's very cold, harsh, and has no wit, its all business

so its alittle bit harder to compare the two because bruce has almost 3 personas, while ironman has maybe 1 1/2.

Kirk 07-25-08 01:37 PM

Yeah, that's what I thought too.
