You will need to do some research on brokerages since if you are only doing $100 trades, a $10+ dollar commission is like 10% worth of fees. Another thing is, when playing penny stocks, a lot of places charge extra for stocks less than $2 or so. Like when I thought of cheap places, I thought of TradeKing for $4.95, but they also charge 1c per share extra for stocks < $2. Doesn't pay off when you are buying a few thousand shares.
I actually tried penny stocks before and I used LowTrades. But that was a while ago, so I don't know if the prices are still the same. With LowTrades, as long as you trade at least once every 6 months, it's cheap. Otherwise, they charge a $50 inactivity fee. I really need to close out my account there since I don't trade anymore.
