I think there should be a thread like this, but topics like "through the grapevine" are a challenge and show real creativity if a cat can make a good piece outta that.
And it invites a deeper meaning than "smokin out"

what is said was.when someone no shows,that means the verse youve written is going to be put to nothing,wasted.i thought,that if you won by no show.then you could send madman the verse you did.and be paired up with someone the next week,with the same topic as before,and then madman would post out your verse on the last day or the first day-whatever,then your verse wouldnt be wasted.

i dont understand the beef with the topics, i meen its supposed to be a challenge, if it was easy all of RB would be up in here. and why would you want an explained topic? then you wouldnt be able to write enough on it or expand it to be creative. I think voting is a big problem. No doubt I contribute to that. We need to take responsibility. Look at other people's shit. Also... letting deadlines slide by a full 24 hours or so without public address? That's just sloppy. Then you only get one vote in. Why do the polls end so soon anyways? Why not let them go until Friday 11:59pm? or something.
We've got tied scores. My match got two votes. I don't find problem with the topics... Maybe if you keep forcing yourself to write a six page narrative where half the verse is you whimsically setting the scene for the READER. . . I guess then you might have a problem. Make songs that are dope. Unless you are comfortably locked into being a textcee rather than emcee...
