The legendary Rakim deserves the title here. In the late 80's- he spat incredible, blood curdling and jaw dropping complex lyrics which would leave anybody in an 'aw'.
An extremely unique MC at his time and through the ages- Rakim has improved greatly. His rhyming abilities and his allround tight and powerfully fresh delivery to Eric B's beats were cleverly crafted masterpieces. Rakim no doubt wins this poll. |
