Well the fact that I already graduated..It seems like I got more than required units for college. In my school...I needed 27 units to graduate but i got like 35...hmm must be the classes i took back when i was back in my country which were very hard cuz back where i came from..it was pretty much an independent study. They didnt give us books instead we had to research them using the books in our central library. TO be honest with you, we didnt have a averaging system back there but instead a commulative so that means all the good grades that u got in the previous semesters dont count so even if u messed up those..all u gotta do is do good in the final semester cause thats your final average is gonna be. Well....I am proud of my grades. I got like a 3.7 - 3.8 (estimated) gpa when i graduated. oh and yeah...im done.

Ehhh, I Did Decent. .

I graduated valdictorian of my class, my major was electronic engineering (the last time around) my GPA was a 4.0. Currently maintain a course of study in astrobiology and national defense research.

I was fuck up in high school, but I managed to maintain straight A's until I was thrown out in my senior year. I was not even 16 years old at the time...

damn bounce i got thrown out 4th quarter of senior year. i had str8 A's. they gave me all F's and didnt let me go to prom or graduation. They hated me cus i did whatever i wanted and refused to submit to their system, and I still got str8 A's. I never showed up for school or random classes. they did the same to other kids but they let them go to prom and graduation. and they got to finish out the school year. They didnt get F's either. they only had to go to summer school to make up for days missed. Fuck the school system. bunch of brain washing hypocrites.

I can relate opey, school was easy but social influence is were all my trouble was born. I did the same as you, I was a jock, so I only attended the classes I wanted and when I wanted. I too was banned from the senior activites, but for other reasons surrounding my expulsion. I lost it one day and literally beat the SHIT out of some kid. That was the last day of my high school career, even with a transfer to another school, I was never the same. I was so young and full of hostility over my situation, I went the wrong path for a while. I could have graduated my junior year but I was a jock and wanted to play my senior year, well after transfering to another school district all my credits were reduced to 2.5 rather than the 5 they should have been. It was a policy of the district I transfered into, if the courses did not match verbatum, you as the student gets screwed. Now that was a rude awakening for me. I learned real quick that the system was corrupt and have been working to correct it ever since. I am very active in the political arena, I have initiated many policies adopted by the school systems here in Los Angeles since my day in high school. You are so right about the system opey, I could not agree with you more...

my honest opinion is that grades don't mean much. if u going into science or math then grades = memorization. if u going into arts or business grades are subjective to ur ideas and rarely is some prof 20-30 yrs older than u r going to relate to your ideas.

also, once you've graduated grades mean nuthin. your certificat and job refrences get u the interview and ur personal skills get u the job.

only doctors and scientists need high grades because they need to memorize a lot of shit. the rest just need to pass and use education to find out what they interested in. once u find what ur interested in u shouldn't need the stigma of 'good grades' to motivate u studying. but then again, the thing people interested in ain't always shown to u through school neither.
