Oh...God..You seem to lose brainmass each time you post. Criminal on the Marshall Mathers L.P is not a lyrical song. Everything n that album was made for shock value. Nastradamus does not belong with 50 cent's release or nelly's release. That is dumb... Oh and N.Y State of mind pt. 2 and Nas is Like are way more lyrical than anything on the Marshall Mathers album. And I find it funny, that like a week ago, you were hopping on em's nuts, and now he's boring. We influence the children, Dez. |
LOOK DOG WORDZ OF WISDOM......THE I AM ALBUM WAS BETTER THEN THE NASTRADAMAS ...BUT THE NASTRADAMAS WASNT THAT WEAK NAS HAD SOME SHIT ON THERE....SEE NAS IS MAD TALANTED..HE DIFFERNT HE AINT ALWAYS TALKIN BOUT GUNS BITHCHES AN ICE .. NAW MEAN....HE ALREADY DID THAT.....ITS NEVER BACKWARDS IM MOVING IM ALWAYS FORWARD...NAS ... SO IT MIGHT SOUND CORNEY CAUSE IT AINT WHAT U WANNA HEAR....BUT NAS IS ALWAYS SAYIN SOME SHIT..FEEL ME....

Actually, criminal WAS a lyrical song. In terms of rhyming and emotion, it was. And it had a non-pop beat and no catchy sing-song chorus. Just cos it was different, doesnt mean it wasnt lyrical. I am NOT on eminems dick. I dont even listen to him these days. I also consider nas my favourite rapper, therefore i cannot be dickriding eminem. And i did mention Nas Is Like was a great song. That doesnt make an album a classic. Thats just like saying because of a pretty good song called "many men" on 50 cents album, then 50 cents album is a classic cos of that one good song, even if the rest is garbage. And you forget that NY state of mind was from illmatic, Nas best days, and the second version featured Rakim. Nas also went back to his old style in 2001-2003, which explains why it was a lyrical song. I Am and Nastradamus are from 1999, when his music was sub-par.

The second version was on I am...it did not feature Rakim..Buddy, You might want to check up on that again. Criminal was Shock Value as I reiterate. Shock value does not need catchy beats or sing song hooks. Example: Kill You. Would that have been a hit? No. Is it lyrical? No. Same with Criminal.

alright whatever
I like both of these albums, Nastradamus was nothing special at all... I am is different on the other hand, Dope tracks: Undying Love, Nas Is Like, New York State Of Mind pt.2, Dr.Knockboot |
^oops, i agree Nastradamus affected me more but I Am is plainly better, 1luv.

I didnt know NY State Of Mind part 2 was on it... i was thinking of streets of new york, since it used the same beat as NY state of mind.. you got me there... but still, 2 songs do not make a classic And Kill You was a moderately successful single. Not because of shock value. Do you forget the catchy chorus? "You dont.... wanna fuck with shady! Why? Cos shady... will fucking kill you!!" when he says that, it can easily be swallowed by pop-fans since its sing song. Criminals chorus is: "Cos everytime i write a rhyme these people thinks its a crime To tell them whats on my mind...." He just says that, no sing song, nothing. In addition, Criminals beat is a loop with soft pianos, while Kill You is a fast paced classical piano sample with Dres G-Funk. That means kill you's beat is more suited for a pop fan. And it is lyrical. Throughout criminal, eminem strings 3-4 syllable multis together, with pure emotional anger, although it is comical. Just because you dont like his style doesnt mean hes crap. Eminem rapped about what he wanted to do and what he was thinking... shit its better than rapping about your ice and jewels and how many benz' u got |
shit its better than rapping about your ice and jewels and how many benz' u got
and thats what precisely most of nas' songs were about on Nastradamus and I Am... note: I SAID MOST, SO DONT GIVE ME FLACK ABOUT "Nas is Like" and "If i ruled the world" |
man..... i just want to backhand you and learns you in "hip hop 101"
|
^ isnt it funny how you know i sonned you but u cant think of a reply so you threaten to slap me.... well go on then, give me hip hop 101... if you even know it yourself
|

|
^ yeah.. thats EXACTLY what im doing... im wasting my time here posting SIMPLY to annoy YOU... yeah....
and no one in this thread sonned me. SkiddZ corrected something i said, which i admitted i was wrong about, and you said you were going to slap me. But thats about it. |
