AUSTRALIA took the same ideabut different rules, and named it OZZY RULES FOOTBALL....

so when you see FOOTBALL on its own it means the english meaning of football...

any other type of sport relating to it, must have the nationality of rules before the word FOOTBALL...

that is all...

People who pick up on such trivial things are usually insecure about something. Like their country and it's inferiority complex to a now more powerful nation. Or something along those lines...

It shouldn't matter. The term 'soccer' was invented by middle class Brits. It's derived from Association Football. As they used to call Rugby football too at the time (you know, Rugby was invented from Football...kind of).

And if you feel football is under threat by the usage of 'football' by others for another sport. Just got to take solace in the fact Association Football is played by billions around the world. It is the biggest. And it's much easier to access than most other sports in the world.

It's soccer. It's football. Get over it.

OK cockyness has eraned you a sonning kid. I was going to withhold my post but you had to post that unneed commnet about you being right. You are not. Scholars have traced back the roots of soccer to a game played long before any british influence.

China
The earliest mention researchers have found of a soccer-like game states that balls made of animal skin were kicked through a gap in a net stretched between poles 30 feet high. Records indicate that tsu chu was played as a part of the Emperor's birthday celebration. The Chinese also played some form of the game to train soldiers during the Ts'in Dynasty (255 BC - 206 BC). According to records, tsu chu was also played extensively during the Han Dynasty (206 BC - 220 AD).

The english just formulated the rules as the game is played today in the mid 1800's. Soccer is a game inspired by amny ancient civalizations and cultures, so yes you are wrong about that. I hate cocky dumbasses. It's cool to be wrong but to act like a total idiot in the process is just wrong.

Sonned!

Plenty more where that came from, so to quote you, Get used to it!

varentao 12-27-03 03:22 PM

^That's it though isn't it. It was not an ordered game as Association Football was. It seemed more like Aussie Rules more chaotic and open to intepretation.

Sports of many sorts can be dated back even further if we go by that. Which is both right and wrong.

From what i've read. The influence of modern day Association Football was far from East Asian. Though it could've played a slight factor. But it was meant to be a butcher who formed a ball like shape of a pig's bladder. And then people got kicking it about. And used to kick and chase it up and down the streets. It was banned by the King. Then reformed into an ordered and ruled game, called Association Football aka Soccer.

But yeah, i agree. Some Brits can get unecessarily cock, yet be stupidly 'wrong'.

DNF 12-27-03 03:25 PM

Actually you just sonned yourself cos you actually wasted your time to do reaserach on a topic on a rap forum… you take this shit way to serious kid…
And were not talking about who invented the game, or wheres its roots trace to, the game in itself was publicly started in England, with teams, rules and so on, what were the names of these teams in china back in 200 BC?

The fact is you sonned yourself by taking this into your own grounds that no one was even talking about…

Did china invent the word FOOTBALL? No, that’s what this whole conversation is about, no one gives a fuck if they played a game with 30 feet high poles, that’s not football then is it, are you fucking retarded? Damn you sure know how to sonn yourself…

So why the fuck did you watse your time to just son yourself?

Sit down kid…

You couldn't sit me down if you had the opprotunity. You should learn and accept this fact, the sooner the better, if not let the sonning commense. Try to put me in my place, LMAO at this kid!

You claimed in your post you guy's invented the game, so yes the sonnage stands, and be sure plenty will follow.

DNF 12-27-03 03:32 PM

So I guess in your crazy world, Thomas Edison invented Rap Sites did he?
Yea cos if we go back to research this further than what is needed, rap sites are from the internet, which needs electricity to work, and Thomas Edison used electricity to make things work, but hey it goes back further, that dude with the kite and the key conducted electricity, um hey why not just say God created rap sites?

You see… your whole post was off topic, doesn’t relate to anything, you sonned yourself by taking this further than was needed, and off topic, you started talking about a game in china in 200 BC that isn’t even football… kicking a sheeps bladder don’t mean they invented football…

So I guess people back in 1775479 BC who used spears to kill animals were actually the first people to invent the Olympic sport of javelin?

Damn I hate sonning kids who are so respected here…

varentao 12-27-03 03:34 PM

^Heh. Please stop, before you dig yourself a deeper hole. Cos at the moment you're honking like an ass.

"So Edision invented rapsites cos of electricity" - What a totally out of proportion and off subject example.

DNF 12-27-03 03:40 PM

thats what bouncedoggydoodoo is doing...

china didnt invent football, not the word, or the game...

your going off topic and sonning ya self...

Are you this dumb in real life?
Yes I stick by what I said, Enlgand invented the sport called FOOTBALL…

Whatever happened in china back in 200 BC is irrelevant, if it was called kicking animal skin between big posts, they didn’t invent football…

Thay may have influenced the invention, but that don’t mean they invented it, you said yourself, they kicked animal skin thru 30 feet high poles, that’s not football then, that could be rugby for anyone cares… the game FOOTBALL was invented in England, the word FOOTBALL was created in England…

That’s all there is to it, everything you say is irrelevant…

Termz 12-27-03 03:48 PM

stfu herbs, back to soccer fellows. i just found out the champions league CAN be unlocked after winnign something in career mode.

varentao 12-27-03 03:48 PM

^Yes, he's wrong in that sense. The Chinese didn't 'invent' modern day football.

But you're missing the point. That they did play a game VERY similar to football. And all that has branched out from it. Now, to jump from this very likely and realistic comparison. Two which are on the 'same level' as such. To 'electricity and the internet' is absurd.

And furthermore, you keep on going on about 'it's not soccer, it's football', which is foolish within itself.

And you do all this in a cocky and arrogant manner.

Anyway, it's all good. Quite amusing. End of.

DNF 12-27-03 04:11 PM

some people like to be politically correct...
for example...
you say hey yea is outkast... i say it was done by Andre 3000, cos outkast didnt make that song, 1 member of outkast did...
some say shit on you was by eminem and D12... i say it was by D12 cos eminem is in D12... they are not sepearte...
here we say crisps, in the US you call them chips,
you say potato i say tomato... haha nah mean...

anyway... continue whateva it was we were talking bout...

and ive noticed RB got a real fucking slow reaction time in this reply box, it keeps missing out letters im typing...

Pr3cise 12-27-03 04:19 PM

It should've been Thierry Henry or Pavel Nedved. That Ronaldo character aint done all that much this year. What? A hat-trick against a scared and unprepared Man Utd defence?!...

No doubt class players. Including Zidane. But Nedved or Henry this year.

Yes, Ronaldo has been slept on & Zidane has had better years. I was quite surprised upon viewing the selection, actually.

KaaS 12-28-03 06:00 PM

no footy game is worth gettin they get real borin after ya keep thrashin the computer no matter what settin ya got it on

DNF 12-28-03 06:18 PM

what i used to do was play PES2 on 5 stars, in a league of world cup teams, id play as wales or someone like that, 5 minute matches, thats hard, my best win was like 3-0, on only 5 minutes you nearlly always get 0-0... a challenge though...

varentao 12-28-03 07:29 PM

Ronaldo was slept on? Nah, he did well. But my point as he didn't deserve to be in top 5. Top four at least.

Doesn't matter if Zidane has had better years. It's just that other players have been better than him this year. Like Nedved, Henry and dare i say, Nistelrooy? Okay, take out the latter for arguments sake.

Zidane playing very good in team full of world class players. Where he drifts in and out of games. More a showpony these days...(still class though..)..
