Sorry to those people who still think there is a 10 line minimum in battles. The rules post from '03 wasn't updated to reflect the new minimum. The 6 line minimum has been publicized in the default rules which are already prefilled into every new battle thread that is created. This was added almost 10 months ago.

Here is a battle with the default rules from 8/24/04 showing 6 lines min:

So basically the argument is.. which one takes precedence? The 10 lines min in the rules thread in FL or the 6 lines min that is listed each time a new battle thread is created? Common sense would dictate whatever is listed in the present will override something posted almost 2 years ago.

But... if you wish to use the 10 line min in the FL rules post and go with the 6 line min starting today 6/3/05, when that rules post was updated, that can be arranged. However all battles that are less than 10 lines going back to 8/04 or so will now be invalid and will need to be disqualified.
