well jea, sounds cool. but what is we already have beats layin around of dat sort. and what if some people have better equipment and sounds then others. there should be creativity. but something dat keeps everything within a border. like supply a synth.. and we work a beat around dat synth. something to dat extent. i've seen other beat tourneys, and they supply a song to sample. u jus flip da song the way u want it and whoever's is better wins.

^^i guess...but one of the things that makes a good producer is being able to find good samples in the first place.....maybe the final or something both contestants shud be givin the same song to sample..that would be good...

i reckon we should do as distilled said...just be given a type of beat to make...and then go and do our thing....

updated.... and yea - I've done a few beat challenges before, so I'll take some ideas I liked from those, and add some of my own flavour to keep it interesting... There will be some set tools Dooms, like samples, but I think I'm going to be pretty liberal with what equip. cats can use, cause there is SOOOO many free sounds on the net, if you have a cpu, you can find some good stuff. And tag em or not. I dun care. Beats will sound the same. I never tag mine, cause its whatever, but feel free. And yea - I'm hoping for 16 producers in this.... word.

I'd say Square off type shit. It allows for the tourny better.
