Everyone has their own individual point for living.

No, tell me the point of life... Not the point of your life, not the point of anybody else's life. The real point of life.

Everyone is connected by many central aspects..

But we are all here for different reasons...

Including those who are immortal.

people see it as they'd never age...

what if you chose immortality unaware that you'd continue to age???

On the contrary, aren't you the one categorizing? Im trying to look at the point life and existence on the whole, you're telling me that every person has their little goals and point in life, which gives it meaning.

Life is for the individual that is working for the collective. If you lived forever, your purpose would ofcourse contain some similaritys to other people existing in this world, but it wouldnt contain an end like theirs does.

Dont try and understand a sole point to life... You dont have access to the information required to make any form of feasable answer.

But.....back to the point.....Your fear of immortality is a petty human fear.

If you were born immortal, this fear wouldnt exist in your mind and instead you would occupy yourself with more wordly matters..

Humans are only concearned with the afterlife because they have to face it.

I am not concerned with the afterlife, and if I was immortal I would just deal with it in the same way I deal with living my life now.

So how would this immortality work? Will you ever get hurt or injured? Or will you be like Wolverine where you just heal eventually? Maybe I'll become a hitman or something. Just hope I don't get caught and get sent to life in prison... cuz that would really blow. Then you've also got to wonder what will happen if the world as you knew it ended and you are the only one left. That would be really boring.

If there were animals, sure you can keep yourself entertained, even if you aren't banging them.. But think of it like the pictures of Mars... nothing around but dirt, mountains, and valleys. Not even little green men running around. I could sleep all day, but after a few months, I'll get bored eventually.

true...but is it was me i'd start looking for life out there...think of it, an eternity to work out how to invent things that were destroyed you'd be able to work shit out coz if one person can invent TV...you could probably invent it through infinite trial and error, same as if you tried to invent a rocket, lets face it...if it blows up...ya gonna survive and if we're talkin Immortal as "indestructable" you're gonna survive and start again...and if ya not...well i'd always make a remote controlled rocket 'n' shit i'd test it using dummy's and what not...it's possible if you have infinite time to prepare...

more people are using them today than just one person...seriously i think there would be plenty of supply's for one person...think of the amount of fuel you'd be able to use considering as there would be no more cars, buses, bikes, planes, boats or anything that uses useable gases 'n' shit...like i said, trial and error you may be able to formulate how to use "less" to get "more" ya get me...you may not know now but we didn't come through millions of years of evolution to not know the things we know today...and it would only take time (something you have infinite of) to work it out yourself

The point of the collective is to survive, advance, reproduce and spread.

If you truely believe you can only enjoy life with a definite end to this existance for you. Then good for you...

I would chose to be immortal under one condition: If it was my own, uninfluenced will to die, I could let myself die. Just in case I completely fucked my life up somehow and didn't wanna continue with it.
