Because this has been 1 of 1000 Tupac/Jay-Z related threads made on RV alone. Regardless of wether it was for, or against them, it proves the point.

*no comment on your lack of logic*

Black Thought > Tupac
Slug > Tupac
Nas > Big
Canibus > Big

I understand the legacy behind Biggie and Tupac though. Those are just my own personal opinions.

You guys need to understand that tupac died 10 years ago the average age of rap boards is like 16 that puts these people around the age of 5 or 6 when he died. The point is, is that they didn't grow up with any of his music, there growing up with Eminem and 50 cent as there idols. The fact that Tupac recieved so much publicity even after his death was because his music is timeless and reached so many people, its basically through there demand to talk and listen to Tupac that people still even talk about it....that is why threads like this one and the one Q read on allhiphop.com even exsist. Really the answers lie with the threads themselves because in talking about Pac means there is still a demand to talk about about Pac and therefore how can one argue he is over rated?

I would expect, and I think its fair to expect that teens relate to the music and the artisist they grow up with, that is afterall who they can identify with. This is why you'll see Eminem or 50 cent recieve more votes in a "greatest rapper of all time thread" or some variation today then you would say 6 years ago. The fact is that 8 years ago there were more people on boards such as this who would vote for Pac because thats who they identified with, they would never consider him over rated. Now as these people get to old for boards such as this they leave and younger people come on, these are people who would vote for Eminem and 50 cent etc....

Anyways, I could ramble on but hopefully you see the logic in this, and if not......
