I get help from a amateur Bodybuilder. He gives me tips and tricks alot to get big fast. mass xxx i learned on my own. The scooper in that thing is as big as laundry detergent cup. and 2 to 3 inches deep.

its 1 heaping scoop. and fills up my protein shaker cup halfway before i put water in it.

ya man i've gained 20 pounds of muscle in 3 weeks.

i weigh 150 pounds. thanks to mass xxx.

C.March 07-19-08 02:33 AM

yeah, its a good product, lots of protein per serving, dont know how many servings you take per day, but if youre on the 6 intake schedule thats a shitload of protein. Got to make sure you're gaining muscle and not any form of fat.... which would suck.

its all good though, im hammered (not a good idea when training). either way, i'll discuss this tomorrow, not a good idea right now.

ps. i fucking hate how people misspell shit when theyre drunk.. its like they do it on purpose to look "more drunk".. its not hard to type when waster. sorry if my post is messed up..

Valerie 07-19-08 02:44 AM

rofl you mean wasted dog. not waster. lol

but ya man i take 2 servings a day 1 full cup after i lift then half a scoop in the morning or night.

Journal!st 07-19-08 02:49 AM

weak shit man weak shit

Can't comment on Mass XXX since I haven't used it.. but I did use Champion Nutrition's Super Heavyweight Gainer when I was in college.

http://www.champion-nutrition.com/c...ight_gainer.php

Got the chocolate flavor. Tasted pretty decent.. Thought it was really, really sweet. Compared to Mass XXX, SHW has 900 calories, 50g protein. Fat is 29g though. But it has a ton more vitamins and minerals and is all natural. Price is about $36 from amazon.

Lotta calories shit haha. The protein is good, but the fat content per serving is too high for me, might work for people that want to build just to get bit though... a lot of the guys i train with have special blends and stuff mixed up by our trainers that are better than a lot of the gnc stuff, these guys really know what theyre doing.

some of those pics are old. and some are before i started lifting weights again.

but ya. do any of you lift 4 hours or so at the gym? like a full body workout?

C.March 07-19-08 03:55 PM

Nope.
I do 2 - 3 hour sessions (Only 2 hours max weighted)
And I only do them on one portion of the body at a time..
Legs monday
core tuesday
upper body wednesday
plyometrics thursday
speed friday
saturday is on ice and a small workout of cardio / speed

It is unhealthy for your muscles to work out for 4 hours and have a full body workout. you do more harm than good, as your muscles need time to regenerate and rebuild themselves. doing a full body workout is the worst possible method to working out, as ALL of your muscles will be broken down / tired and will be in need of regeneration. If you work out the next day you wont gain much from it. If you workout 3-4 days later you may be alright but that time off is just wasted, when you could be working on another portion of your body. its best to break down your workout schedule to an area a day so you get ample time to regenerate your muscles.

Keith Moon 07-20-08 05:42 PM

how much do you lift?

C.March 07-20-08 09:39 PM

not a whole lot, I don't try to bulk up that much in the off season. I primarily don't do bench press a whole lot.

I do a lot of squats at 3 plates (45 pounds a plate) + 25 a side. I do 5 plates for 1 leg leg presses...

Im into a lot more of the plyometric build rather than the muscle bulk.

My squat max was 500.. so 4 plates + a two and a half
and 400-450 for reps of 3

powerclean 300

and bench 315..

but i havent lifted in months due to surgery

C.March 07-20-08 10:15 PM

Thats more in a building stage rather than what we work on in hockey.....
the NHL combine has 150 benchpress you go as long as you can.
im a pretty skinny guy, I weigh like 190 max... with a 3% body fat.

Im a goalie, so I mean i dont need huge muscles I need more flexibility and lateral movement.

Adam 07-20-08 10:35 PM

Anybody who spends 4 hours in the gym is a fucking loser.

I spend an hour a day during offseason..
and NFL combine is 225 multiple reps..

MY buddys one of the top prep goalies in the nation.. so I know what u mean..
skinny ass kids..

Are you in juniors now?

Valerie 07-20-08 11:05 PM

working out for 4 hours aint shit. Jay cutler (body builder) works out for 7 hours a day when needed. same with ronnie coleman.

Keith Moon 07-20-08 11:11 PM

thats cuz theyre profesional bodybuilders..

their 7 hours is the same as your 8 hours in the office place

Steroid use is also quite constant with cutler, hes talked about it before. Working out for 7 - 8 hours a day for these people is how they goow a lot from the roids. If they didnt work out as much, all the synthetic testosterone will turn into estrogen and grow mantitties. It's been well documented that the more you work out while using steroids, the less probable it is for feminine side effects.

If you want to become a body builder, by all means work out for extended periods of time... just make sure you have a professional trainer with you to guide you along as you can severely damage yourself working out for extended periods of time straining your muscles.

2 hours on a specific region of the body is a MUCH better way of working out, it allows for muscle strain but nothing extreme and dangerous. It also allows for the much needed regeneration of muscles which is needed to grow bigger and stronger.

if you look at the body builders, an extreme amount of supplements is uses, most of them have round the clock trainers / chefs etc. Its kind of ridiculous but it is their profession.

If you question any of what ive said.. watch "Bigger, Stronger, Faster" a documentary on steroids, steroid use, and several athletes that use this.

Gonna hit up that Finland Olympic team?

Valerie 07-21-08 03:51 PM

I Dont wanna be a body builder but when i dont lift for a decent amount of time like 4 days or so to 5 days i lift for 4 hours to catch up. But other than that i usually lift for 2 1/2 hours and thats it.

Its a decent way to catch up but really.. if you miss a day you miss a day.. you just need to keep working and not strain yourself...

doing a 4 hour workout wont help you as much as it will damage you.... you need sufficient rest periods for your muscles to grow and regenerate.

I had the same mentality as you if i missed a couple days, but honestly it puts you farther back than it catches you up.

C.March 07-21-08 10:06 PM

you can now find my shit featured on Its A Rap forums... ask me anything there and i'll be on to answer..

........
its pointless to work out for 4 hours in the same session, testosterone levels drop after an hour and if youve burned up all your energy the next thing the body burns is muscle
cutler and coleman and them dont lift for 7 hours a day..
they wouldnt workout 7 hours a day even if they did lifted twice a day.

Valerie 07-22-08 01:34 AM

wow man. tonight i was at the gym and was doin 137 pounds on the workout where you sit down and lean forward and grab 2 handlebars and pull back and u can twist the handlebars and all. idk what the lift is called help me. But my weight i do has increased by 20 pounds in 2 days. ;)

_Talksic_ 07-22-08 01:39 AM

yeah when you first start lifting or first start taking supplements you see results in strenth gain pretty quick..and after the quick jump you you hit a peak.

Valerie 07-22-08 01:42 AM
