 Hip-hop is freedom of expression. Not Free to collect a check. Do you think any of these people would rap the same or even rap if they didnt get paid. 98% of artist in hip-hop today. Namely mainstream. Rap for a check. because they are to lazy to actually get a job, too foolish to obtain a good education. They see it as an easy way out. Just because you rhyme, on a base heavy melody w/ some drums doesnt mean your hip-hop. They are not even expressing. How do you express money, cars, and hoes. You dont. you talk about them.
