Topical is in no way a sad excuse for poetry.. Topicals is a form of rap song that artists use.. Then they were adopted by internet sites as a form of battling. Poetry takes little to no talent in rapping.. To write Poetry all you have to do is express thoughts using words, To write a topical you need to write poetry that needs flow, rhyming and structure.. Poetry is nothing compared to the skill required to write a good topical.
