down south the only rappers i liked were Outkast before that Spekerbox shit..i liked ATLiens....that was tight and Stankonia....but Ludacris holding it down....and T.I got it going......thats whats happening..

the majority of all down south rappers have no lyrical talent and simply just ride their "catchy" beats. all they seem to do is repeat themselves like 30 times in a song.........all the meanwhile saying absolutely nothing.

I can tell you why i don't listen to most southern rap.. you guys talk about getting crunk too much, and you're accents throw me off.. also the wordplay and rhymes aren't that developed out there, i don't know.. but you guys shine in the main stream, so don't complain, the south runs the Game now.. first it was the East, then the NWA and Death Row Dynasty, then the Mid West with Eminem, now the South is pulling their wait, with Luda, Lil wayne, Lil Jhon, and every one else, so you guys are doin alright in a lot of people eyes actually..

PS. the only part of the south that is on the coast is Florida, the south isn't the 3rd coast..

yeh southern rap is mainstream right now, but i don't like it. don't think i ever will either

Ludacris and T.i. are the most noteworthy mainstream rappers from the south in my opinion. everybody else is ok. Lil jon only does sing-a-longs repeating stuff a billion times. On all of his songs he repeats verses like a billion times he should be considered more of a rock/producer guy then a rapper/producer since he fits all the qualities(screaming on every song, repeating the hook way too many times, not very much lyrics, etc.) I like his beats though.
